a) This might be true, but with >3 bbs, you simply don't have the time to wait for that to happen. b) see a. c) While it's correct to assume that your push is getting called from the blinds very, very, very light, you still can't fold any pocket pair here when it's folded to you. I'd happily shove in that spot and take the coin flip allllll day.

This. But given your read, I don't think the overshove is bad. If the blinds were higher but the stack sizes were about the same, I like the 3-bet shove much better since it's fewer bbs and looks weaker than a more standard sized 3-bet. Then, I think he's more likely to snapcall with the range of hands you said he'd been pushing up to this point. On principle, it's not a bad idea imo, it just didn't work this time.

that isn't what I said. read what I wrote. he should be going broke there, but if he's ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY positive that villain has AA, HE STILL SHOULDN'T FOLD PRE. Playing anything like correctly he probably goes broke anyways, but what I was trying to say was that flatting>folding pre.

I am absolutely, completely 100% sure that there are indeed spots where it's correct to fold KK pre (I have done it). Most of these spots come up in satty's, occasionally in a sng, and very very rarely in an mtt. I suck at cash so I won't say whether or not it's ever correct to fold KK pre in a cash game, since I simply don't know. That being said, I am equally certain that this is not one of those rare spots. I agree that the minraise and min 4bet look incredibly shady, and his range definitely includes AA, but it isn't solely limited to it. I've seen AK and all ...

This. I also know people who swear up and down that they're winning players, but just don't have the stats to back it up. "But I've won a ton in cash games," "But I'm so much more profitable live," "But I just run SO BAD..." 99% of the time, everything after "but" is bullshit. I'm a slightly winning player. I have a positive ROI, but it's not that big. I've only been playing for 18 months so in reality I probably haven't played enough poker to know whether I suck or not, and if so, how badly.

shoving in this spot is pretty standard. Villian is never folding, but you need to get your chips in at some point when you're this short and JTs plays pretty decently against his range. Even if he's ahead pre, the vast majority of the time you're live here (and with two suited connected cards, no less). It's go time.

Bands that are drastically overrated: Pearl Jam DMB Rolling Stones Although I've done some extensive research on the topic, and I'm pretty sure that the worst band in the history of music is Brand New. I sat through all the songs on their myspace page just to be sure, and yep, I'm positive. The only bands that come close to being as terrible as they are would be Nickleback and Panic at the shitfucking Disco.

That's a really interesting question. If it actually happened (the chances of which, imo, are very slim to none) it would be the mother of all angle shots on the part of the Republicans. Although pulling out all the troops in October is NEVER going to happen, they might bring a few units home and then start publically patting themselves on the back about "troop withdrawl" when the reality of the situation remains largely the same. Just one of many possible methods to manipulate the voting population shortly before the election, imo.

I shove in this spot if: a) stack sizes are appropriate to do so; b) I'm drawing to the nut flush; c) I'm sure that my hand is best if I hit (so I almost never shove my flush draw on a paired board);and d) I have other outs besides the 9 that would make my flush, like a straight draw to go with it or overcards that I have reason to believe are live. Since I think I'm getting called more often than not by the player who reraised (due to the huge odds he'll likely have since he's put so much of his stack in already), I want to be sure that my chances of taking the pot are ...

Sometimes I do believe the sites are rigged. My FTP account has run so badly at times it's truly unbelievable. The only way it would make sense for the sites to be rigged is if there was an algorithm in place to keep the $$$ circulating so the site could collect more rake and players would cash out less. Win a giant cash pot with KK one hand, and 2 orbits later your AA gets cracked by utter crap... just my personal paranoia. Of course, when I'm on a heater, it's never rigged.
