HogWild Poker PocketFives League Thread - USA Players Welcome!
Is anyone having trouble getting into the HWP site when using a MAC computer - OS ver. ' I haven't been been playing there for the last two months because of log-in problems. BUT the problem is solved by using the following link (sent to me in an e-mail from support) to download the HWP launcher. Install HogWildPoker: Go to "" and install the download.

MAC Sites
Are there any sites that meet the following requirements'' 1) run on the MAC (either download or web-based) 2) allow deposits and withdrawals via Moneybookers 3) in conjunction with 2) - DO NOT require photo id when cashing out. I haven't signed up on a lot of sites simply because they require photo-id (even when using Moneybookers).

It works great on the Mac - found out about it months ago and immediately downloaded the site, which turned out to be one of the best sites to play on with no deposit required.

Withdrawal Inquiry
Would like to know opinions on sites that require photo-id and other personal information (other than address and phone #) prior to making a withdrawal. I have used Skrill (Moneybookers) for deposits and withdrawals on a few sites without having to provide this information, but lately, some sites that I am looking into state that this info is required, even when using Skrill. Even sites where I have previously made a withdrawal without this info have changed their conditions. If anyone is playing on a site that does NOT require this info, could you please let me know, especially if the site ...

Go to the site and look at the explanation for the shutdown, and what they plan to do about it (a response by the way, that was handled as soon as possible). Why do people seemingly panic and continuously whine about these situations which can occur''' This is not the only site that has crashed, so chill out - it didn't cost you a penny so what's the problem''' Personally, I realized that there had to be a reason, and am very satisfied the way the situation was handled. WTG HWP. PS: Grow up - if you don't like the site, then find another home where you can bitch and complain.

Poker website that accepts canadians and credit cards
Can't think of any site that doesn't allow Canucks - But there are considerations you must look into. If using a MAC, the number of sites is reduced drastically - if Windows based you're OK. Do you want a native download (better) version of the software, or a web based version' You might consider different methods of handling your funds (eg. Skrill) You should seriously consider the terms and conditions of any site you are thinking of joining - especially the withdrawal methods. It is very easy to sign up and deposit but withdrawals are a different story. Signing up on a site from the ...

This has been discussed in the HWP forum quite extensively, with pros and cons being discussed. Being an advocate of this method, I like it, and thanks Greg for posting it here. If this point hasn't been made in the HWP forum before, could you post it there also, - think it would clarify this situation.

I also have experienced just playing the blinds, moving to another table and being placed in an early or middle position, soon to post the blinds again. However I have been in one tourney when I was on the button to start, and then moved more than once to different tables - it ended up that I didn't post the blinds until the third round - so I guess it probably evens out in the long run.

US facing site with software for Mac?
It depends on if you want a native download version or a web based version. I know that pokerstars, Aced, Lock bwin, and Hollywood have download versions. There are more sites that have a web based version - titan, 888, Luvin, ladbrokes, and others.

Just joined HWP and so far am impressed. Like the fact that no shows are TERMINATED, down cards similar to live poker, and other nuances. But You don't advertise that the site also supports the MAC with a native download version - I was really pleased with this version. Seeing as it is a fun site, why not incorporate hog sounds for certain scenarios, eg, instead of clapping, all-in, and heads up situations - LOL. Looking to my first P5 tourney tonight.
