The Avengers
Its not like I went into it expecting a masterpiece or hating Comic Book movies. Off the top of my my head I have enjoyed the previous 2 Batmans, Spiderman, X Men, X Men First Class, Iron Man, and Chronicle(not a comic book movie I know). All of these are superior in my opinion to Avengers.

**Official** Ron Paul Presidential Race Thread
I am not a fan of Ron Paul and have not read any of this thread. Today though after seeing RP's performance in Maine and Nevada and watching this awesome pokemon RP video, I spent some time researching the supposed media bias against RP. You guys got fucked over royally. Fuck the media.

The Avengers
I love a popcorn flick just like the next guy but not when they are done as lazily as Avengers. I can certainly understand why people like it but the degree to which people like it astounds me. Some people think its as good as Dark Knight or close. Are you fucking kidding me' The dialogue was cheesy(that Germany scene made me cringe) and forced full of one liners. The plot was generic, predictable, and just overall not well done. Hawkeye added nothing to the movie. The action scenes were OK. Great for the eyes but it got to be repetitive and boring by the end. Not really impressed with these ...

The Avengers
I just saw it in New Zealand. Critics be damned. I can not recall being more disappointed in a movie in my life. Atrocious writing, beyond cheesy, stupid plot, and they botched the characters. Thank god for Iron Man. Went with 3 other Americans, two of whom loveee comic books, and they all concurred that it was terrible. Fuck Marvel. Can't wait for Dark Knight Rises.

Cmoney3 2012 NFL Mock Draft
shea mcclellin imo makes way more sense than us taking a RB. I love Doug Martin but TT does not seem to be a big fan of taking running backs early in the draft(2 RBs taken out of TT's 45 1st-5th round picks) and he usually goes after our huge needs right away(last two years we got tackles, and three years ago we got Raji/Matthews when we moved to the 3-4)

Packers taking a running back in the first is not going to happen. Their needs at OLB/DL FAR outweigh their need for a running back.

Gingrich: "CNN Is Less Biased Than Fox"
Because CNN plasters editorials on the front page that makes them super far left' I am in no way seeing how CNN is this super left news organization. I just don't. Editorials are fairly neutral. A fair amount of conservative ones have made the front page. They usually discuss all of the major scandals on both sides of the aisle because all they do is wait for Fox or MSNBC to make the news and then they respond. I do agree that CNN or any reputable news company should not be posting editorials but that just makes them a shitty news organization, not a liberal one. And the reason FOX is coming ...

Gingrich: "CNN Is Less Biased Than Fox"
Norcaljeff thinks I am funny'!'!'!' They are slightly left but nowhere near MSNBC and not even on the same planet as Fox News. Supposed' WTF' Sorry figured finding the links would be fairly easy. And my own spin' How about actually looking at the links rather than just ignoring it' / FTR I copy pasted most of the article titles for the Fox ones. The first one about Obama being a political opportunity starts out like this. "There is no 'War on Women'. President Obama is a political opportunist, and when the Republicans fumbled the Religious Freedom issue involving healthcare and ...

Do you believe is as biased as ' If not, how close are they' (got to run for a day or so so I will just respond as if you say they are semi close) Top editorials on Fox(all the political ones recently): Obama is a political opportunist 4 dollar government shrimps What if the government rejects the constitution' Hilary Rosen's remarks against A Romney betray freedoms fought long and hard for Fresh Fibs and Half Truths and more from Biden but media stays mum GOPS troubled brand(written by Juan Williams) Left calls the right radicals Are religious Americans always conservative' Dick ...

Gingrich: "CNN Is Less Biased Than Fox"
William Bennett' Alex Castellanos' Mary Matalin' Erick Erickson' David Frum' I certainly don't think CNN is neutral but it does not swing that far to the left. They do have conservatives voices and none of the main pundits(Cooper, Blitzer, etc) are over the top with their left wing bias. If you compiled a ranking of the most biased pundits on MSNBC, CNN and FOX, there would not be a CNN person in the top 15. Yeah exactly. When they are in full debate team mode, they usually have at least two people that are conservatives and the discussions that are had between the reps and the left ...

lol sorry totally wrote that when I was drunk(muslim thing was a joke, not a serious argument). Not really any point in arguing since neither one of us will change our opinion. If you wish to believe that CNN and GMA are incredibly left leaning organizations that are comparable to Fox News then there will be little I can do to sway you.

Perhaps but 99.9 percent of the people that make this argument are cry baby conservatives that never actually watch or read CNN and instead wait for the republican outrage machine to find one example of them promoting something somewhat liberal to further cement their ridiculous belief that everyone is out to get to them.

I am certainly no CNN supporter but this post is absurd. Love how conservatives just point to anything that is not conservative or willing to allow liberals to express their viewpoint as incredibly left leaning. Wait what! CNN did not refer to Obama as a Muslim extremist black radical' BIAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I check CNN quite often and I rarely see these nonsensical left leaning editorials. They exist but so do moronic conservative pieces. In fact the top opinion piece on their site right now is . And then and then you got this guy. /. If you want to say they lean left sure ...

Does this analogy of taxes make sense?
Is there also a relationship between having less government and quality of life going down' Yes. If you go to the extreme(which conservatives love to do), if we lived in a country with NO government aka anarchy, then yes I would say life would be terrible for most people. It is all about finding a balance and right now in my opinion we have gone too far to the right and need to move back towards the left a LITTLE bit. Private sector jobs like law and business pay more because they have less government restraint' Bullshit. What Supremo said. So do you think the government should not ...

Does this analogy of taxes make sense?
Being offended by something and freaking out is not the same as being against freedom of speech. As far as I know, most people on the left were not saying Limbaugh did not have the right to say those comments nor that the government should take him off the air. They were simply saying that his comments were unbelievably offensive and that he is a vile piece of shit. Yes maybe the left are hypocrites(Maher) but their freak out as far as I can tell is not suppressing freedom.

Does this analogy of taxes make sense?
The bigger point of the article that I read about it is that the difference between the salary of a teacher in 1950 and the salary of someone in business or law was extremely small whereas now its MUCH higher. As a result the smarter kids are trying to become doctors, lawyers etc and the less intelligent/ambitious kids are going into education. In my experience, this holds true. The younger teachers I had in middle school, high school, and college were mostly atrocious whereas the older teachers were almost all excellent. Yes I know the benefits are solid and when teachers moan it pisses me ...

Does this analogy of taxes make sense?
Not disagreeing. Our government has fucked up education immensely. The solution however is not to punish education by spending less. The solution is for us to stop this political fighting and to find a creative intelligent solution to the education crisis(yes its a crisis). Hint: It will probably involve spending more money. Back in the 50s, teachers were paid a heck of alot more than they are now. Top students in college would go directly towards becoming a teacher rather than law school or business school. Now though the money is mediocre so the top teaching talent goes to law or business ...
