Re(2): WSOP ME PACKAGE QUESTION? was that the order he should go in or just a list of options, cuz im pretty sure he did the 4th one like you said. just saying "you have to register yourself" wouldve been sufficient. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(6): SHIP TO THE BIRTHDAY BOY !!! so ive known ilivebythe5 for a few years now, and have probably heard this same arguement and many others at least 20 times. then they agree to play him for cash and proceed to retract their comments, laugh, and pay him their money. and if u think going in the middle everytime means everything then you clearly are not the expert you think, and should buy the book to correct your game. p.s. congrats on the cash. you got lucky. happy bday. Re(1): Should I quit? i agree with everyone's point. id cash out a substantial amount, put on reserve, play with the rest and btry to build it up using good BR management. im pretty much just summing up what everyone else has said. i wouldnt quit unless it's really bothering your mother, and in turn affecting you. or if u lose ur roll id step away and focus on school or something for a while. Re(2): Is the accessibility of poker knowledge a good thing? yea that makes sense. i know when i play live, i will rarely sit with someone who really knows what theyre doing, and most people make fun of the fact that some people read books on the game. maybe its just me, but if im going to invest my time and money into something, even if its a hobby, i want to it to the best of my abilities. its hard for me to think more people wouldnt have this same outlook on poker. Is the accessibility of poker knowledge a good thing? I've often wondered, and it may have been addressed in this forum, if the amount of poker information available for everyone going to make it more difficult for players to do well in the future. I feel like as a whole, most players are getting better. Granted there are still numerous bad players, but everyday these bad players are out buying books, joining training sites, signing up on these forums to improve their games. So my next question is where will the fresh meat come from' In five years are we going to be praying on players that are currently like 13 years old' ive just always been ... Re(2): Why do people like the UB Badbeat tables? (Plus math question) I would think that checking the flop would be enough since any hand that could make quad 8's or better would pay to see the river i.e. a turned boat (if you flopped quads), or a straight flush draw. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Daily Double-B push/fold/call-im confused ok, i ended up calling but i dont know if its a clear fold, an easy push or just a toss up. my read on the original raiser was raised 3x after a raise at 10/20 with AKs, then called all in raised 2.5x utg+1 raised 3x MP, called all in with QQ so he hasnt really done anything out of line, but hands ive seen him raise so far have been QQ and AKs, so i could be dominated or coin flipping. my stack is a little low as ive been card dead, so that may be why i pushed. idk. any advice would help, even one word answers like "fold" are great. thanks. Re(1): 3/6 limit... live these are the easiest games ever, and almost mind numbing when comapred to no limit cash or tourneys. just sit back, play tight, raise for value and free cards, dont bluff b/c it will rarely work unless your isolated with one or two opponents who may respect your bets, but this wont happen often enough to worry about usually. isolation plays will not work if its a standard live 3/6 game. keep track of your pot odds as youll often be correct to draw to 4 and 5 outters. easy to catch a couple of hands early and be up a buy in within one orbit. thats all i got. gl. Time management for students/poker players How many hours a week do you guys that are in school devote to poker' Do you set aside a paticular time per day to play or just play whenever the you feel like it' I find it difficult to balance the two. Not just playing, but reading P5's, 2+2, re-reading certain books. I find it much more interesting than statistics at this point. i just wanted to guage other students abilities to balance both well.
