I just started school again and have not been able to play as much to get top 10 on party leaderboard. When party changed EVERYTHING and more then 4 tables can be played at one time it took the empisis off of mtts and put it on guys who 10 tables sngs. Guys you see on the tlb now are sng players. Also i have started playing mtts on stars and am really dissopointed. The rebuys are the only good tournies. Stars hands take way to long and the blinds go up way to fast. to prove it to you guys, at 6:00 western time take a look at the blinds for the 500k on party and the 500k on stars. Party is the ...

Re(1): MTT buy-in question...
When building a solid online bankroll i would not play any mtts. They take to long and way to high in varience. Only with a bankroll over 4k would i start playing mtts. multitabling low limits are a great way to build a roll. Also step tournies on party is great. when at 2k-4k roll multitable step 1s in sets of 20. then save all the freerolls and play all the step 3s and so on.

Re(1): Bankroll Question for MTTs
I would stay away from mtt's until you get your roll up even higher. You are looking for consistant growth which a .5 1 or 1 2 limit table will provide. Also 1 dollar mtts are a waste of time if you are looking for bankroll growth. If you got the bug then it is good practice. I didnt start playing mtt tournies until i had about 4000. and no a player at a 1 dollar mtt is just as bad as at 10 dollar mtts. You wont notice more experienced tourny players until you get up to 50 dollar buy ins and above.

55 final table since jan. all fields over 150. Two wsop seats. 7 wins including one for 10k. 6th, 11th, in the super, 27th in the million, 15th in the 200k, and i have never done well in the 350k. When i win a 200+ buy in tourny i might be close. And i only play on party. Still have a little while till i should be ranked. I kick jjprodigys ass evertime we match up and he is ranked.

Matters how active the sb is. If he is active put him on the rebluff and push. If it is the first time he made move like that lay dow. Most likly you play a heads up pot which is good. If all three players call then you are probably out of the tourny. Tough situation though. I like the laydown.

you better go all in everytime in that position. RAPE NOOBS. YOu must assume you ahve the best hand there, and if that is the case why not show down. If the guy in the big blind is good he might call with k high or even crappier cards. You will not be a big favorite and thats why not showing down is the best resut. If he does call with crap then you could double up and rape more blinds the next orbit. RAPE blinds. Noobs suck and will fold good hands, youw ould be surprised.

This is a problem i face everyday. The problem is that nothing can be done about it. If a player at your table is stalling then with out a question it kills your chances at accumulating chips. In additoin at these later stages of the tournies the table is shorthanded taking the emphisis on balls and not cards. When card dead late in multies aggresion still be at the top of the list. Play smart poker while on the blinds. Someone raises you in late position and you are on the bb withs ome folding equity you must reraise sometimes with any two. Oh man they got plenty of them. The orleans has low buy in tournies everyday. Also check out the sahara. When you get to vegas call down and get the number for allt he casinos. then call each of them and make a schedule. you will be sick of tournies by the time you leave.
