Re:Would you rather??????? If I had to choose I would rather be comfortable socially and not that rich and the reasons why are to many to get into so I'll try to keep it short. I grew up not having much and being told by my Mom that as soon as I turn 18 it was time to hit the road. Very different from what the norm is in my culture. Lets just say that I have uncles still leaving with my grandparents...lol...But as funny as that maybee it is socially accepted in my culture. Anyhow hearing this from my Mom throughout my high school years made me very hungry at a young age. I educated myself and became a production ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:@ "top ranked pro" threads - I personally don't learn "a lot" from here but I mos def use it as a resource. I guess peeps get what they want out of here. Don't know what it was like back in the days here but it does seem like more of a social gossip site these days. -lol...no doubt about it being a distraction well I play and as much as I <3 fantasy football, man have I given some chips away when my qb throws an int...lol...I agree w/ the bouncing off ideas w/ friends but man do I have to start meeting peeps here because these days the bouncing is only coming from my boys' and them wanting my ... Re:@ "top ranked pro" threads You make a valid point with the whole its "standard " thing. Standard can have a lot of different meanings depending on what type of player you are...Peeps can do a better job with their own explainations... Anyhow as far as peeps wanting advice from top pros goes...I see nothing wrong with this and that is why I personally joined P5's in the first place. We're lucky to have an outlet like this that gives us the opportunity to even be able to get an insight as to what goes threw the mind of a successful player...Just look at it like this, if you where a basketball player ... Re:Professional poker and how it's NEGATIVELY affected my life - Younger players should read. Well first off I'm not one to post many things here but this definetly caught my attention. I <3 playing poker more than anything but there isn't any game that is more important than the game of life and I understand what you're going through. I'm reaching an age(30) that is becoming a grandpa in the views of most in this modern day poker world. But in all reality even 30 is still young in the game of life. So what I'm trying to say is that your youth is right in front of you. You'll always feel young no matter what age you are. And this is coming from a person that ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:??? FOR THE PROS PLEAZzZz READ ??? No doubt gut... I as well keep notes, (but I can improve that part of my game a lil as I sometimes catch myself slippin'), and try to stay ahead of the game as much as I possibly can and that is the main purpose of this thread. I just wasn't sure if there are things out there that others are doing differently than myself. That's at... Thanx man!!! Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Live vs Online... ''' Hey the real... By no means have I tried to disrespect the game like you're implying!!! I <3 playing poker and have the upmost respect for all who are doin' the damn thing!!! The software I speak of is more like the math, odds, player stats,hands,%,etc...Such as software that assists you! My bad as I maybee might have misrepresented what the thread is truly about! I kind of thought peeps would have recommendations based on what works best for them and so on. Don't get it twisted playa!!! I'm no whiner or person that blames everything else but myself! Re:Live vs Online... Oh no doubt have I put my $ in behind. But try not to gambooo to much... It all depends on the situation. As far as the bad beats go, i'm talking about significant ones were I either make the right call or the right play and the cards just haven't gone my way. Your talking getting beat by 2-3 outers post flop deep in tourneys were the winner of the pot gets right into the chip lead or top 5. But no doubt have I noticed my play being a little tight at times. I guess it depends on what day of the week it is...lol... Anyhow what about the software' Anyone play off raw skill anymore' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

??? FOR THE PROS PLEAZzZz READ ??? I've been on a bit(lol...a lot of a bit) of a bad run lately online and for some reason it seems as if people are playing a lot different from one month to the next. So as a winning player you adapt right. Okay, so I adapt and I try to consistently keep putting my $ in with the best of it at crucial times and yet another bad beat comes. Don't get me wrong, I know this is just part of the game and I have my tilt sessions just like everyone else in conjunction with the days my mind just isn't right. Been doing just fine live but ultimately I want to know if the days of just using ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
