Meet the Man Who Wants to Mine the Moon The American System, in a nutshell: Develop infrastructure and foster atmosphere of creativity so the minds of the population can develop the economy and improve life for our citizens. Of course private industry should have access to NASA tech. It is freely available. Again, check out the NASA spinoff page. The entire purpose of NASA, is to make tech available to the people. My issue with your statements, is that you give no credit to the role of government, and all credit to this "glorious" private money that, in your opinion, does so much good. Should we let private money utilize ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Meet the Man Who Wants to Mine the Moon That is the point. Go back to the 1950's. Kennedy motivates the country to gear for a moon trip. For what' Money' Obv not, but why' Answer that question, and you will start to understand all of this. No private company would ever try to go to the moon, because there would be no way to realize profit. And you know, private capital pursues profit ONLY. Besides, what private company could come up with $20 billion in the 60's' Only a nation-state could fund such a project, and fortunately we had real leadership in that time period. So now that your government has financed the ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Meet the Man Who Wants to Mine the Moon LOL Just to be clear, mining of the moon should be a priority. This is an imperative step in our exploration of outer space. Without public credit issued by our government, there is zero chance we would have made it to the moon by now. Zero. Posted in: Off Topic |

Meet the Man Who Wants to Mine the Moon Dyz, it's pretty funny that you have so much disdain for the public credit that allowed us to figure out how to get to the moon and back (and all of the associated technologies that were discovered,) yet you are so quick to praise privateers who piggyback on those expenses and discoveries (after ensuring that the government is no longer a competitor.) Of course we should be mining the moon. We should be colonizing the moon. Then Mars. Then beyond. Unfortunately, NASA has been slashed, and these privateers are interested in one thing only: profit. Instead of developing the moon, it will ... Posted in: Off Topic |

oooooooops. nice one, climate change deniers! If by clean energy sources, you mean nuclear power, then yes you are right. They are absolutely destroying us right now in nuclear development. However, in the same breath, you mention renewable energy sources, which typically means wind and solar. They only make that shit to sell to retarded governments that take their nuclear plants off line. Posted in: Off Topic |

Extensive Damage to the WuMansion (pics) Under normal circumstances, obv let the insurance company take care of this. For most people, even under these circumstances, the only option is waiting for the insurance company. BUT.... You have skills. You have tools. You can take care of this, and save yourself the hassle of uprooting your family. And if there is any doubt about whether or not the insurance company will cover mold issues, then it's a no brainer for you to tackle this. Heres what you do: 1: Get a respirator. Wow. Just Got Real. US Stripped of Triple A Credit Rating We don't even need to get the military involved. All that needs to be done is for congress to pass HR1489, which is sitting in the house with 33 cosponsors RIGHT NOW. More signing on every day. If this gets through congress, it will bring the current presidency down, and it will finish off the already bankrupt oligarchy. This bill will separate legitimate debts of our govt from speculative (gambling) debts of the oligarchy. Give the worthless debt back to those who originated it, to do with as they wish. Take it off the backs of the people. This is our only option. (everybody else ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Wow. Just Got Real. US Stripped of Triple A Credit Rating As far as the markets go, you're playing a rigged game in a dead system. The financial system is ALREADY dead, propped up only by illusory monetary manipulations. QE1, QE2, bailouts, 16T fed lending to BANKS in 2008, euro bailouts, etc. These measures CANNOT work, it is literally printing money to buy worthless assets. So this dead system is obv trying to save itself. It's not working. But you can't understand that without first realizing that America was created as a sovereign nation independent of the empire (the first such nation, of course.) What was the empire' It was ... Federal Reserve Issued $16 trillion in bailouts Sigh, this is the biggest story of our lifetimes, which may in fact send Obama, Bernanke, Geithner, and others to jail, and we're debating whether or not you can "think and grow rich." My bad. (bcdm, I agree with you in principle, have lived what you are saying, and have been successful. The conditions for success were there, then. For my kids and grandkids, not so much. Their future is being stolen, literally, as evidenced by this GAO report.) This news is HUGE. Federal Reserve Issued $16 trillion in bailouts bcdrmr, You read "The Secret" and think you can think yourself rich. We know. But you were asked a simple question. Is it person A or person B' And FWIW, I've been extraordinarily lucky in my life, have studied NLP & DHE with the masters, but that is beside the point. Conditions for success are REQUIRED. Federal Reserve Issued $16 trillion in bailouts bcdrmr, You really don't see how being a beneficiary of 16 trillion in loans could help one become a "successful entrepreneur'" Let's say person A has this perfect attitude that you espouse yet no access to credit, and person B is lazy, selfish, irresponsible, and unfocused yet has access to unlimited credit. Which one will society ultimately view as a "successful entrepreneur'" Just curious what you think. As for the rest of you, don't you remember 2008' Those were scary times. People stampeding for liberal handouts. The mission to send a man to the moon was a SCIENCE DRIVER mission. The point, and the result, was to use technology to better mankind. People stampeding for liberal handouts. Empires have always used one principle weapon to keep their subjects enslaved: denial of knowledge (principally of the universe, but all other sorts as well.) The most recent empire, which ruled for nearly 2000 years, the Roman empire and its offshoot the British empire, only made investments that would help them retain power. Knowledge was only useful as long as it served to maintain the empire. When the US broke free from the empire and established the nation state concept, it did so with the intention of using knowledge of the universe (scientific advancement and technology) to allow ...
