Re(1): Best bass players
Don't forget Phil Lesh! Hard to argue with any of the above though. Wooten is a mad man, guy is fucking out of this world. Jaco Pastorius is also a sick man.

Wow, I totally disagree with you. Trey from Phish just absolutely blows Morello away as far as natural ability goes for one still alive. Some alive and dead that are better: Derek Trucks from Allmans, Duane Allman, Jerry Garcia, Ry Cooder, Jeff Beck, Santana, Albert King, Buddy, BB, Muddy Waters, SRV, Fripp, Zappa, Townsend, Page, Clapton... I mean, come on man. To put him above any of those guys let alone all of them is insane. Trucks alone is much better.

Re(3): Greatest or favorite guitar player ever?
I'm a big SRV fan and I do agree he was the better overall player as far as he and Jimi are concerned (obvious comparisons for SRV). Jimi was definitely the innovator as far as what could be done on the electric guitar, especially considering the relatively safe music playing on the radio at the time. Those that were growing up at the time Jimi first hit the radio explained it as such a huge and different sound at the time that it was just a complete shock to hear. I'm also a big Django Reinhardt fan. What he was doing on the guitar and in the recording studio at the time he was doing it was ...

Re(2): Greatest or favorite guitar player ever?
I have seen him, but my one complaint is that he has gone a bit too pop the last couple years which is probably due to record company pressure to produce a mainstream hit. His first few albums were amazing for someone so young.

I would be willing to bet more tournament players went broke trying to make the switch or the occasional stab at Cash than vice versa. And "gamblers" like Matasow are notoriously stuck year after year. What a way to live..

Greatest or favorite guitar player ever?
To me, this category is a dual one. I have an opinion of the greatest ever and I have a favorite who would not be considered the greatest ever. Greatest ever: B.B King / Buddy Guy BB has perhaps the most unique tone and style of anyone. He's so good at what he does. Buddy was the reason Hendrix started playing a strat after he watched Buddy play on the Chitlin tours. He borrowed much of Buddy's style. Buddy upon learning Jimi wanted to sit in with him for a set: "Who the fuck is Jimi Hendrix'" My Favorite: Trey Anastasio from Phish. The most creative guitarist and always has the ability ...

Wow. Not suprised. A racist republican ' NAHHHHH! You are slime. You have no clue what so ever about race relations and preferential treatment. you are obviously fortunate enough to not have to worry about where you will live how you will pay your bills because daddy is putting you through med school. How about posting some pictures of displaced black families. How about some pictures of blacks that drowned because the medivacs were only operating in affluent white areas. You make me sick.

Are you insane' When a potential city threatening disaster could hit, and the president has advanced warning, how is it only the mayor of that cities problem'' It then becomes a federal problem. i.e, the Government should be assisting the city. They did not act urgently and more lives that could have been saved, were not. How could you not be furious at your government for letting this happen and not doing more to prevent further damage' I mean, really. This is not a partisan issue. I would be pissed if it was a democrat or a republican in office and that person chose not to act with impunity.

Hilarious, ain't it' ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Why Bush team is stuck in rough patch New video of disaster officials warning Bush of hurricane Katrina adds to public-relations stumbles. I think Hillary wuld be great. It would be like having Bill for president again. Those 8 years were a godsend compared to the Bush ptresidency we are experiencing. Hillary has more brains in her pinky than Georgie has in his head. Repukes love to hate on Clintons. They are obsessed because they realize how popular and how good Bill was as president. I get sad when I think of the incompetents in the white house that drop the ball on things Bill never would have. You think Bill would have fucked up Katrina as bad as Georgie and co' HELL NO. But anyway, the Repukes are going to have a damn hard ...

You may also want to read this. If it doesn't make you angry, you must be in denial.. Bush was set on path to war, memo by British adviser says By DON VAN NATTA Jr. The New York Times MONDAY, MARCH 27, 2006 LONDON In the weeks before the United States-led invasion of Iraq, as the United States and Britain pressed for a second United Nations resolution condemning Iraq, President Bush's public ultimatum to Saddam Hussein was blunt: Disarm or face war. But behind closed doors, the president was certain that war was inevitable. During a private two-hour meeting in the Oval Office on Jan. 31, ...

I was always struck by the irony of the voting demographic. Most of the wealthy in this country hail from the blue states and most of the poor from the red. Yet, the Reps have somehow sold the red states on the tax solution even though it doesn't come close to benefiting them in the long run. The Reps have conjured up the idea of church and state representing the values of middle america. The greatest sell job ever in politics.

Even giving you the benefit of the doubt regarding our country's financial standing (and you are wrong there, we are in worse shape financially than when Clinton was in office) would you not admit that we are in terrible shape geo-politically' Clinton was able to handle world wide threats diplomatically and with a calm reassurance that Bush just doesn't have the ability to do. How many press conferences has Bush had in the past few years' Would Clinton have fucked up the Katrina situation worse than Bush'' I think not! And all you Reps can do is talk about Clintons blowjob. Pathetic!

Get real. the president fell asleep at the wheel when we were attacked on 9/11. He had the intelligence warning of potential airplane hijacking. Hell, the FBI had files indicating arabs were taking flight training in the USA. Not once during his first few mths on the job did he have any meetings with his security team over potential terrorists threats. And apparently he didn't think too much of reading the daily intelligence reports that came across his desk. The war in Iraq is a freud that many of you on this board apparently still believe in! Astonishing to me!! Just goes to prove that even ...
