if some 19 year old managed to register for the WSOP main event with a fake id and then final tabled i wonder how many of you would be saying caesar's should let him keep the money...

not this. it's his dad'd account. pretty sure his dad is already 18...now what does stars do' if they can prove he played and broke the rules etc, by letting him keep the money stars is basically telling its players that its ok to break some of its rules, just not all of them. great business model

he played on an account that wasn't his and tried to lie about it and cover it up...i don't get how anyone could possibly think stars should let him keep the money. it would completely undermine their ability to enforce any of their rules or punish anyone for multiaccounting, and when people do that and lie about it everyone wants to burn them at the stake

you can't deal for the car, it says lambo must be set aside for tourney winner. and i'm pretty sure it's not income tax on the car you're paying, it's luxury tax which is way higher. for example, if you got the cash value for the car you would pay far less in taxes on it than if you got the car itself.

if you are so overly stressed chances are you should be playing a limit or 2 lower than you are, or you don't have accurate expectations/an adequate understanding of variance. you are playing a game - if it is negatively affecting your life that much you probably have too much riding on the outcome. move down and focus on the game and not your results

Live Tells, How to stay fresh?
I also think this is underrated and have tried to work on this lately. I hardly ever listen to music now, I just bring ear phones in case the table talk is either dull or too tilting to listen to. People will generally be less aggressive towards people they think are friendly, which makes the game a lot easier.

Why are live poker players so rude?
it's harder to lose when you're at a table with 8 other people looking at you than when you're in front of a computer by yourself. people can't handle feeling embarrassed, and as a defense mechanism become combative and either start blaming the other players, the cards, or the dealer. and alcohol doesn't help.

Republicans suck...
if i thought your sentiment was correct i'd say that your logic could easily be reversed to say democrats suck for ironically supporting legislation that would give the government less control over how people spend their money... but i don't since regulating and licensing the online poker industry makes government bigger, not smaller. this isn't a strictly partisan issue, it can just look that way because republicans are more disposed to be against the morality of gambling period.

Free $1 million or gamble?
That is the comparison if you're just calculating EV, but in real life few decisions can be made solely by mathematical calculations and ignoring the economic significance of their outcomes. this is sort of like comparing cEV to $EV... for most people the utility of the first million is wayyyyy greater than that of the 2nd million, which makes a 1 in 5 chance of getting nothing an incredibly dumb choice

if you want it to play poker you can definitely get a small laptop for cheaper than a stupid $700 ipad that doesnt even have flash or usb drives, especially with after thanksgiving sales coming up

PokerStars $5.40 double or nothing
definitely easy way to grind up a roll, but its only really worth the time if you play the turbos and can play at least 10-12 at a time. rake on the regulars is too high.

I've got 10 hours in Cedar Point Thursday-what must I do?
pretty sure maverick is my favorite ride that ive been on in my life. not much in stature compared to the others but its so good. hope you went on maXair, but considering corkscrew was in your top 10 im guessing you didnt. more fun than skyhawk imo
