Bahhhh JJ < AA 600k pot button vs sb in the mill. 1/9 UB 200k though. Also 70/136 on ftp 750k. Argh, as I was typing this i opened for 22500 with 99, luhman shoved for 150k and beat me with AJ. Now I'm 6/9. ughhhh.

I read a bunch of books when I was playing/beating the live private games around OKC. Then I found online and played SNGs and learned how to beat them from 2+2. Then when I switched to MTTs cause I wanted to play the WSOP, I won my first WSOP satty and had a little success, but gigabet kinda mentored me in a few tournaments one sunday, and that was when tourneys really clicked. I miss the old gigabet. So I guess I'm not self taught at all :-(, but I definitely worked my ass off.

I have owned 3 laptops with WUXGA (1920x1200). Some Dell from 3 years ago, a high end alienware, and a high end HP. The dell lasted about a year and a half, the alienware lasted about 4 months, and the HP lasted about 6 months. I'm fairly hard on laptops just from lugging them around everywhere, and use them on my lap so they get hot (i've learned not to do that anymore, or use a lap pad). Basically my advice is DO NOT GET AN ALIENWARE. They are built shotty and don't last long. They may have a bunch of kickass parts, but they just don't hold up. I wanted to keep my image. My game usually works much better with a tight(er) image. I can adjust when I need to, I just prefer to be able to work off a tight image. As for the tilt thing, I wasn't too concerned with it since I just took over half the chips of the guy in 2nd place, and my image was more important than his smallish stack at that point. (Within 20 hands he pushed his KQs vs my KK and I busted him anyways after way overplaying that A7 vs Ishige's KJo so he was steaming anyways after that pot which seemed likely)

I actually didn't think he thinks like me at all and that's why I was able to make the play. I think I outlined pretty well what i thought his thought process was and it is nowhere near what mine would be in the same spot. I wouldn't be considering making the final table, I wouldn't be considering the pay increase, I wouldn't be betting this amount of chips in this spot without 100% putting in the rest of mys tack. I knew he didn't haev AA/KK/QQ because there was 0% chance he doesn't put in another raise pre with those hands. I hadn't seem him not raise vs a bet/raise when he thought his ...

Please read what I wrote. It's obvious you're still thinking about this in a simple 'half my chips in the pot with TPTK' way. Live hands get so much deeper than that it's not even funny. Especially in a 10k tournament with the best structure in the world and 120+ BB deep stacks. Again, any hand he wanted to play for stacks he would checkraise all in because he knows I am C-betting like 100% of the flop. Is that not crystally clear'

Also, I very much do not appreciate being called 'cocky'. I'd say it took me between 30 seconds and a minute. If he lead 200k on any flop I would've almost definitely shoved vs him. An Ace high flop would be the only flop I would consider not pushing, but I'd still probably do it there. It was so obvious to me at the time that he would've checkraised all in with any hand that he wanted to play for stacks. I am not bs'ing. Anyone that knows me knows I have no reason to not tell the truth. I don't see why I am even arguing with someone that has probably never played a 10k tournament. They are so different from even 162 tournaments online and you seem to completely miss that. I explained very clearly how I expected him to fold but I guess I'll do it again.
