Hey E1, Wanted to stop in for a bit to say hello. My schedule has been absolutely crazy the last two months. I switched companies a couple months ago and am no longer working from the house....I actually have to commute all of 1 mile to work now.... cheap bastards won't give me any compensation to help cover my fuel expenses and they monitor the shit out of computer use!!! Baseball is winding down, but still is eating up most of my free time.... in one 4 day stretch a few weeks ago we had 14 games of baseball between the two kids' teams. Z's team is in Birmingham in a 30 team tourney that ...

I'm still alive....
I saw gigs' post about not recognizing OT names so I thought I would let those that care know I was still around. This time of year is busy for me both at work and more so because of baseball. My son's team has really been doing well so far this season ( 1 tourney win, 1 runner-up & 1 3rd) and is currently ranked first in GA by USSSA as well as 17th in the country!!!!! My daughter was selected to the 1st team All-Star squad ( the only girl to make it...wooohooo) and I was asked to help coach as well. Her park picks the team during the regular season so she has her reg. schedule of games ...

Well Amy, we're in this together!!!! I promised myself I'd quit on my birthday and today is the day..... I've quit twice before ( been smoking for 22 years) each time for about two years ( no clue why I picked them up again '''') and both times I carried a pack with me. Used that pack like a security blanket...I seemed to be less stressed out knowing I had that pack with me. Every time I reached for one I would just say..."go 5 more minutes w/o smoking one"....just kept making the time longer and longer. You have it nailed IMO after 3 days. I'm not fading under pressure....I could care less if you call me racist, cracker, hate-monger or any other childish label you can think of. Flash, Well, what was to be our first tournament last weekend was rained out so I spent the better part of my weekend scouting teams that we'll be playing this year. We're looking pretty good, but this weekend we'll see just how good as we're in a pretty tough tournament with nine other teams. Two of Zack's old teammates play for a team that will be our stiffest competition in the state this year and we'll see them in this tourney. I know you hate baseball and are just being nice, but I can't wait til this weekend!!! The tougher job is going to be making a baseball team from the rag-tag ...

Chris, Such a great message there. Having a balanced life is so important yet sometimes so difficult to achieve. I also love how you called a spade a spade...cheating is cheating no matter how you spin it. It's just too bad we'll never convince the cheaters of that. I haven't been posting much lately, but have kept up with all the drama regarding the cheaters. Every possible thought and opinion has been offered up so please don't think this is just another persons opinion on the matter.
