Hand History files missing It's strange but some of my HHs seem to be missing from my Pokerstars directory, I noticed this a few weeks ago when some of my May HHs were missing, now I notice most of my July HHs are missing. I usually sort them depending on game and bust vs ITM but I let a bunch accumulate in the pstars directory. I can't see space being an issue on Windows. Anyone have an explanation' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Live 1/2 NL in Montreal? Acid, the Montreal Casino has 1/2 and 2/5 NL plus some limit games, no live dealers yet though. It's all on electronic poker tables, lots of horrible players although I'm not a fan of the e-tables (pros of course are, no tipping, more hands/hr, rake is $5 max). Snakes is a better option though like the other guy mentioned. No smoking at tables, but smoking allowed at the bar area, rake is $7 max plus tip plus $1 for bad beat jackpot. Re:1/2 Live game - what do you do? fwiw you were included in the "idiot" group. I posted to see how we can extract max from villain. Obviously I'm not at the elite stature of the rest of the P5 "members" to post in here for feedback on some basic hands, hence why this site is a joke and the "other" sight actually has real discussion. Wanted to see if a check would have been in order. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

1/2 Live game - what do you do? Live 1/2 game at the local poker room, folded to me in middle pos, I raise AdAh to $12, one of the blinds calls me (some woman playing any ace any face) what's your play on the flop' Flop comes 3 diamonds all rags, something like 742. Woman checks what do you do' She's got about only $55 in front of her, I have her easily covered. Thanks Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Why DONs are profitable... Is it me or have the fish all gravitated towards the DoNs' It seems the regular SnGs have dried up but these DoNs are gold mines. I know I haven't played enough of a sample yet (only about 30, cashing in over 70%), but the play is atrocious. I've seen medium stacks isolate shorties by RR All ins (with crap hands) on the bubble instead of calling and checking down, I've seen players fold when they should be calling ATC, but then calling when they should be folding. I've seen chip leaders with over 4,000 chips bust out on the bubble with horrendous plays. Gold mine I say. Has ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Straight flush over flopped full house over ace high flush It happens, I saw something like this at a 1/2 table behind mine last week at the B+M poker room here on the reserve outside Montreal, (Yes, KGC commissioned FWIW...loll) J9, 88, AJ --flop 89J turn A River J (or turn J River A) either way all the money went in the middle at one point. Nasty hand. KGC Rules. lol Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:SnG ITM Finishes vs Bubble I know, all the SnG experts say that you need a massive sample to get a true representation I still don't buy it. The fish who's played 500 games and has an ROI of -35% will stay a fish if he keeps playing the way he plays, at the same time if he changes his strategy he could easily turn it around. He's not -35% because of the number of games he's played, he's -35% because he has no clue what he's doing. I have a bit of a stats background in my work/education, a sample of 1,000 when doing a study is more than enough. Take any type of presidential poll, do you think ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:SnG ITM Finishes vs Bubble I wouldn't be worried about how many bubbles unless I was bubbling more than I was finishing 1st. Bubbling more than finishing 1st, yah probably. Bubbling more than finishing ITM, definitely not. (a) Taking bad beats' Probably just as many as the next guy. (b) Playing to tight early and blinding out' Not really, but I don't play stupid early. I play optimal strategy early on. (c) Not taking aggro action (stealing enough) when you are playing bubble' I'm looking at some hands after the game and I'm missing some ICM shoves here and there but for the most part ICM is in ... SnG ITM Finishes vs Bubble I'm sure I've seen the stats posted on here in the past, but what is considered an average and/or above agerage (%) ITM finish for a regular $10+1 9 man SnG and more specifically what percentage of bubble finishes is "acceptable"' Meaning, as a percentage how many games should we "bubbling" (obviously the less the better, I know, thanks). My ITM finishes are between 40%-41%, not sure off hand what my bubble finishes are but I ask b/c I've had a few too many this month. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:How to play against complete randoms I'm no pro and I don't even play a lot of MTTs, (SnGs only) but when I see these clowns at a SnG I play much more tight against them. Like you I hate playing against these types cause they are clueless, but you can't steal from these players, I rarely bother. I don't even waste my chips on them, there's no point, I personally wait for a huge hand against them (in this case TPTK is probably enough), they will pay you out. That's how clueless they are, they are in one gear only they won't even notice that you folded to them for the past 40 minutes and when you hit ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:How do you play this hand? Nice fold if he did have AA though, he got the info he needed by betting out the flop. If AA checks the flop he may be getting into more trouble depending on what the others do. AA slowplay pre I'm not that crazy about, but he may have been hoping for a squeeze which he didn't get, that said right fold with all the action on the flop. AJ call preflop I don't like, but like others said what are you looking to flop''' You couldn't ask for a better flop, that's why I hate the call there, you are crushed too many times. Re:C-Betting.. 6 - delay cbet sometimes. so often if i raise and 3 rags flop i'll just check behind and then bet at any hi card that turns. this works a lot. i'm also betting if i actually hit the hi card so they don't have a clue basically. I love this one, I have been doing this more and more. It seems less obvious than a cbet on the flop and seems to be more effective. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
