Starting roll to make a living? Before I get flamed too bad just wanted to point out I am thinking around 3-5 years down the road unless I hit a good score in a tourney or something which probably wont happen soon since I am average at best in tourneys and hope to get better. Cash game player, I like to play 0.50/1 NL tables, 6 of them at a time. Hopefully soon as bankroll permits move up to the 1/2 NL games. I am a single guy that has around $1300-$1500 in bills, food, etc. a month. Thoughts' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Accounts Hacked, Lessons Learned I was told by each security team that they had the IP address(s) and locations that were used to access my computer as well as the email, address, and name associated with each of the hacker's accounts but could not give me this information because of legalities, but could be given at the request of law enforcement. I always find this interesting that they cant give out personal info on the hackers because of "legalities" yet they are technically "breaking the law" for providing business to US citizens because of on-line gaming being illegal (assuming the hacker ... Re:How the heck is it supossedly hard for people to hold onto their winnings if they're not losing it back? Too lazy to quote but I personally do not want other players following bankroll management. I want that guy on a saturday night drunk off his ass playing up in stakes to recover whatever he donked off/tillted/bad beated, etc. These are the easiest guys to spot at a cash game. With all the poker books, videos, etc. that have come out its harder than ever to make a profit. Now if the US will politely step up and legalize this and allow the influx of fish to swim in after the economy recovers I will be very appreciative. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Farewell Pokerstars. Yeah maybe changing sites will improve your luck somewhat. What type of games do you play' I have found the cash games (0.50/1, 1/2 NL), heads up SNG, and PLO8 1 table SNG are much easier on tilt than on stars. I find switching games helps me get out of a rut. If my hold em game starts to suck I will play PLO8 and vice versa. Depending on the game change it can force you to think out certain situations differently and give you some insight on some possible leaks you had in the 1st place. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Full tilt points question? Starting to accumulate a lot of them and trying to decide how to use them. Was scanning the satellite list and see a 2500 FPP Saturday evening satellite to the $215 tourney as one of the better ones. Any other options' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:u decide if pokerstars was wrong here... It was a heads up match it wasnt a tournament where he came to your table with 20,000 chips that might have been chip dumped to him and then took you on with your 1500 chips. He was an idiot for telling you he had 2 accounts. Pokerstars will do their default thing and look into it and then close all his accounts and send the money to his origional account as long as he wasn't doing it in tournaments. Should I just start tossing AK pre-flop in NL cash games? I made the title with some sarcasm but the last several weeks I have played that hand gets me in tons of trouble. I either miss which is probably good for my roll so I can fold the hand or if I do connect someone is waiting in the wings with a set to snap it off. It seems like when I am watching other players in a hand someone has AK against AQ but not me, staring down a set or 2 pair. Anyone else experiencing this more than normal or just me' Posted in: Bad Beats |

Re:rigging concern with hard numbers and huge sample. It is rigged a2z1to3 no doubt about it. People that flame about it not being rigged probably have a multiaccounting interest or in some way affiliated with the site. When I get time I will post my 500K + hands and they are not just tourney hands. I see exactly the same crap that happens in tournaments and SNG's as what u have posted. Cash games are just as obvious and its every game. Cannot count how many times in NL how a low pair hits a set 7 out of 10 times against an AA or KK however AA or KK rarely hit their sets. In PLO8 you have the nut low/hi hand only to see the flush card hit ... Posted in: Bad Beats |

Done with riggedstars..er...pokerstars and probably on-line poker in general.. These hands happen within 15 minutes of each other at the same table (check the time of the hands). I have the exact hole cards each time, opponent does as well, flop comes up the exact same way except one had a 6 and the other one had a 10 which was meaningless. Odds of this happening has to be that of a lightning strike. If you have AA or KK some nimrod hits a set 8 out of 10 times and for some reason the higher PP rarely hits one. No wonder on-line poker is frowned upon and made illegal in the US. Good luck to all with this rigged BS. PokerStars Game #35744035693: Hold'em No Limit ... Posted in: Bad Beats |

Re:2 hands against the same opponent that have bugged the crap out of me. I didnt open limp with it i limped in the cutoff. I pick up tons of blinds all the time on scary boards in position when noone hits and usually get a nice score when I do hit and they cant put me on a weird hand. This was one of the times I got caught with it. Trust me I dont limp UTG with it or call raises with it. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

2 hands against the same opponent that have bugged the crap out of me. I have seen him at the tables a few times but not long enough or enough hands to get a read on him. 1st hand pick up KK UTG and raise it. I h8 poker repops from the small blind and I re-raised. Flop comes all spades and I have the king of spades. He shoves the flop. I am 95% sure he has a bare ace of spades but could have AA or a set trying to protect his hand. Just want to know if you guys would make the same call here deep stacked if you had the same read as me. Re:Small or mid-range pocket pairs when 3 overs hit the flop Example 1..no set no bet with 3 players unless you have some sort of a sick read that aggro will fold and player behind u is a nit and will give it up without the nuts. Example 2 re-raise flop or call turn and make a move there. In general I like to 3 bet pairs pre-flop hoping to take it down without a fight on the flop. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Building a bankroll playing double or nothings? Are you planning on playing turbos or regular' Regular gives you better chances for obvious reason plus if you can trap ya a fish for his stack early on you can pretty much nurse that $3000 stack to the end of the tourney. Re:Why play tournaments? Agree with what has been said about cash games being a grind and loving to compete. Assuming you are playing within your roll tournaments give you the best chance to increase your bankroll a significant amount if you hit that final table, top 3, win it, etc. I try to play each equal. Usually one gets me back on track when I am getting killed at the other. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:QQ on 958 board Not easy in my mind with 4 peeps in the pot to start. It would be foolish to slow play a set given a 77 or 66 would make a str8 on a free turn card. I would probably call in your shoes too and grit my teeth hoping he doesnt flip up a set. I am guessing he had TT or 77' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:lets do an omaha hi/lo hand...now with results I assume you are calling pre-flop to try to outplay the guy if mostly high cards hit the flop' Its very seldom you hit your hand hard with this. I like the consensus of jamming the flop hard to try to protect your hand. Turn and river in my opinion looks like crying calls and most of the time breaking my finger in several places for being spewy enough to click the mouse over the call button. Thats why I hate these types of hands even if you hit you have to grit your teeth and hope they miss. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Playing Jacks? Standard shove. I used to be results oriented when I would lose race after race in this situation and question if I made the right play. Also ask yourself would u just call' If the flop comes overcards you have no idea what to do and if the flop is 932 then AK is going away. Shoving here is always 100% correct and gets you either dead money or the much needed double up. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Fresh off the grill.....a slightly tricky spot, thoughts? You are on the button which looks like a steal and he is probably playing back defending his big blind. He fires on flop you call. Turn he checks which in my mind is showing weakness with a TT or JJ hand or possibly AQ. River he is firing a bet hoping u go away. If he had AK wouldnt he continue firing on the turn' QQ probably checks this flop. I am guessing he has AQ hoping the King missed u and fired out big. Possibly he had 99 and checked turn but remote possibility. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
