God, the memories....just stumbled across this old thread, battle of ages..
covered by bluff mag / Had almost gotten over not playing online until i re-read every post in this thread for first time in five years. wow, some names i remember for once in a thread wasnt JJ prodigy #1 at 1 point' few vey old timers who likely were #1 at one point legggy' The BEAT, Poker Ho, SameNole(who is still in his 20s and will hate being referred to as old timer!) Rizen was #1 im pretty sure at one point and yes, 'Bodog Ari' was #1 for a while when i was active, i think he was #1 when i hit my highest at #28 (non automated).

Feds Call Full Tilt Poker A Massive Ponzi Scheme
was just on long segment CNBC charged with Ponzi scheme. Numbers off top of head what remember, had 60 million of cash on hand, owed 390 million. allowed people to continue to deposit even though money wasnt taken out of account, and paid winners with money from accounts where deposits went thru. Board of directors took out $400 million before this occured. Lederer and Fergison among those charged

thanks for your opinion. I must ask why if PPA was concerned about this, they put out the informaton only 48 hours prior to the deadline' as far as my case goes, I will keep everyone here informed, and considering I have a legal background, although not an attorney, and my sister and uncle are practicing attorneys, I do not expect to have a problem with any filings or paperwork.

the PPA is incorrect i filed a claim, it cost me nothing. I do have many attorneys in my family, and showed it to one of them, who said all i need to do is put the information into the form and send it in. No offense to the PPA, but I disagree with their assesment and certainly their recommendation that people do not file claims. Its too late now. I also do not think they handled the matter in the best way, putting out their 'notice' 24 hours (or was it 48, either way) before the deadline. Not like most people had time to react. I filed a claim I sent it to my lawyer, and sent him the PPA link. He said it was ridiculous and there can be no harm in at least getting a claim in. I sent it today fedex to the court and copied where i needed to copy

Best Day to enter main event
Last year I played day 1A, and had 5 pros/well known players excuse me if i mes up names.. Cappel, from the November 9 2 years ago, Barry Shulman, on my left, gobboboy Jimmy Fricke on my right, FT pro Soren Konsgaard, and some french pro whose name i didnt know but was constantly having press come over for photos. He ended up in top 100 whatever his name was . It seems I have never gone to main event without a known pro at my table, just the variance to the odds i guess.

Has anyone sued FT yet to get their money?
FT was shut down in USA by USA DOJ. If you do business in a state, you can be sued IN THAT STATE. if you do business in a country, you can be sued IN THAT COUNTRY. FT definitely does business in 49 states (or did) and definitely did business in the US. they 100% can be sued. i am just curious if is has been done yet. Obviously it makes more sense to not force their hands and to ait on our money, but it is obvious based on STARS starting payouts TODAY, that it is POSSIBLE and my concern is FT is not payign out for some reason....either they didnt segregate the money like Stars did, or they ...

Has anyone sued FT yet to get their money?
Stars it seems to me will pay everyone. Besides replying to emails and usually having a good support system, they are also just so big, they get $1.3 mil to the sunday million (downgraded from 1.5mil) WITHOUT the US.... However, FT is a different story. They are much more effected by the US lockout then stars. In addition, they ALWAYS had shitty customer service and non-existant support. I am wondering if there has been a class action or an individual lawsuit to get the money back filed anywhere yet' Also, I am curious if their red pros or sponsored US players (ie Dwan, Ivey) got their money ...

Ill bite... favorite online moments...tie a) bad beating The Donator 4 handed at the FT of EMpire Poker 200K, to end up taking 2nd place for my largest online cash of $35,000 b) winning my first Paradise poker $100K guaranteed tourney for my 1st signature win c) any of the fun late nights spent on Party poker at 3am in the mourning at FT of the 33 rebuy with the same regulars every day, Roothless, Lil Holdem, etc d) being captain of the 30+ team in the battle of the ages worst moments (not including 4/15/11) all in preflop with my AA with pkt bullets AK(he obv flops broadway) with 16 players ...

using up FPPs on Stars.....help
i have never used stars FPPs for anything but tournament entries or cash in the past. well, I have some now, and cant use for either..>SO... my big questions is wtf does 'EU /AU' mean on the electronics. I know EU is Europe and AU is Aussie...but does that mean I am able to use the Ipods in the USA or not'' Also, everything I click on seems to be out of stock... are all Americans getting this or does the store just suck' any help on the ipod thing and advice on what if anything is worthwhile is appreciated

Anyone have a Pending Check Withdraw from Pokerstars and cannot cancel it?
I have a pending echeck for the maximum allowed. I cannot cancel it and emailed them and have not gotten a reply welcome to the same big fking boat the rest of the USA is in. its a 'wait and see'

Can I play on cake?
Paul UB is NOT down I am currently logged in Shawn Rice and Poker Ho, BOTH US players, are in live tournies right now keep trying to get in. YOu may need to go to new website address and try downloading software again. At this point, I highly doubt I will get my xfer from UB, so if i can still play tomorrow I plan on cancelling it and playing in the 200K and whatever else. would rather build it up and hope I get it, then sit with it in limbo with a thumb up my ass

Lots of views not one reply, noone hazards a guess. with 2 hours to go till start its looking like almost all the FT guys are multi and most of them 6 per and looks to my quick scan like 50% on the unique players or more are multi...

1. what percent of the unique players do people think will have more then 1 entry. 2. and of those that have more then 1, what percent do you think will have the maximum # for example....say there are 500 players who choose the 6 max, thats '3000 entrants' but for purposes of this thread represents 500 unique players. I would think at 640 buyin less then half the players will have more then 1 entry, especially if FT did its job with qualifying tournies. i HOPE its less then 25% have multies, but who knows... ...this is for your opinions especially if you have played in some of the bigger ...

Borgata ME Final Table
Vadem an excellent player. Played with him for 3 days till I busted eve of day 3 in this. I believe he was top 75 in the WSOP ME 3 years ago. Carney has not much results before this but he is a pyscho. All of the 'name' players were knocked out before the top 20, but there were a lot of names as i sat with Selbst, kwob20, Todd Terry, Mike Grazc, Dpeters17, Mike Leah, Will Faila, and many others during my time in this, and Grinder, Gavin Smith, and many others were in it too.

Consolidated FTP Multi Entry Tournaments (MET) Thread
This was the perfect statement, and to my friend Gary read and understand. They are almost eliminating their risk of overlays (which certainly is one of the player's motivation to play tournies on a 'dbl guar week' that they ordinarily might not have time for or pass on.
