**"Survivor: Redemption Island" Official Thread** so to recap opening comments: Natalie: "vote for Rob, please" Phil: "vote for Rob, please. Also, I'm crazy" Rob: "do I win yet'" Posted in: Off Topic |

**"Survivor: Redemption Island" Official Thread** if they edited the entire season of Survivor: Rob Island this way, and then he doesn't win, the editors are the biggest bunch of blue balling bastards in the world. But I would love to see Rob lose to Natalie in the finals. That would make me lol and the Russel fans go crazy. Posted in: Off Topic |

**"Survivor: Redemption Island" Official Thread** I think redemption Island is actually a pretty neat idea for pre-merge Survivor. However, post-merge it really needs to go away. I don't know if this counts as a spoiler so I'll try to ghost it: Probst said on twitter that the finale will have 8 people still "in the game", which probably means 4 left in and 4 on RI, with the winner coming back to make it final 5. I'm not a fan of people getting voted out this late in the game and being able to get right back in by winning a shuffleboard or memory game. Also, doing the double-boot at F8 and F7 is horrendous. The F7 vote is usually the most ... Posted in: Off Topic |

46% of Mississippi GOP Primary Voters Want to Ban Interracial Marriage As far as I can tell, I don't think I do. So i'll just expand on it. Humans and apes evolved separately from a common ancestor many millions of years ago (I don't know the number and I'm not going to bother looking it up). Lucy (aka Australopithecus aforensis) is an ancestor of humans, but not of apes. The split came before Lucy. I'm pretty sure this is correct, but if someone wants to, feel free to correct me. edit: actually, Lucky may be right, I really don't know. Posted in: Off Topic |

46% of Mississippi GOP Primary Voters Want to Ban Interracial Marriage I think I might be confused by this, but I'm pretty sure that humans and apes evolved from a common ancestor. Humans didn't evolve from apes. So I don't see the problem here. Posted in: Off Topic |

**"Survivor: Redemption Island" Official Thread** yeah I forgot to also mention the immunity idol flushing. And yeah, you may be right that Rob wasn't thinking about the 6-5/7-4 thing, but managing the numbers like that is a hugely important aspect of post-merge survivor, and it something that is overlooked by practically every person that plays the game. It is so important to not give people an incentive to flip. (it also helps that everyone in his alliance is either too stupid to come up with plans to overthrow him, or are too honest to actually go through with them). Also, voting out the potential swing vote is pretty genius. He did it ... Posted in: Off Topic |

**"Survivor: Redemption Island" Official Thread** Voting Matt out there was pure genius for a few reasons. 1) Rob gets rid of someone who has expressed an interest in screwing him over. Even though Matt said he was loyal, you never know. 2) It also limits Andrea's options and breaks up that Andrea/Matt team, which could be bad for Rob. and 3) Which is probably the most important but most overlooked aspect of the game: It is much much much better to be up 6-5 than 7-4. This is because if you keep it 6-5, then there is no incentive for someone to flip from your alliance to the other one. This is because they are only going to jump from 6th ... Posted in: Off Topic |

What is Atheism? you can be an atheist and agnostic at the same time. In fact most (possibly almost all') atheists are also agnostic. You people are arguing semantics and it's getting absurd. Pgh, I would call you an agnostic atheist. I call myself an agnostic atheist. Well, I call myself an atheist because "agnostic" isn't actually an answer to the question about whether you are an atheist or theist, it is a description about knowledge. People can also be agnostic theists, so saying you are "agnostic" isn't really a proper description about your beliefs. Posted in: Off Topic |

Christian Chick thanks god for japan tradegy well yeah, I agree with you. Sure TV and video games hinder human interaction, but I think technology and science have made it much easier for people to be happy and have fulfilling lives. And I think it would be very difficult to argue otherwise, unless you actually think that neanderthals or people in the middle ages had better lives than people today. and in that case...I don't even know what to say lol Posted in: Off Topic |

Christian Chick thanks god for japan tradegy I also think human interaction is far more important and fulfilling than tv or video games. But I don't really see what your point is. Unless you're making some kind of weird strawman argument. Posted in: Off Topic |

Christian Chick thanks god for japan tradegy I'll agree with bfactor here, I do actually feel very strongly that it is immoral to not speak out against religion. I wouldn't go so far as to say that religion needs to stop existing, but it just needs to lose a lot more influence over people's decisions/actions/secondary beliefs. I think if speaking out against it can at least get people to think about it more, then people may take their beliefs with a bit more of a grain of salt, and thus, for the people whom religion is a bad thing (either because it makes them miserable, or causes them to do bad things), it will/may cause them to relax ... Worst movie I have seen in a long time. I really liked High Tension right up until the ending. The "twist" is something that is both physically impossible and also impossible given several scenes in the movie. It just took me right out of the movie and made me really dislike it, which was a shame cuz I loved it up until that point. I'm usually pretty flexible with implausibility in movies, but you gotta give me something to work with, the plot can't be a literal impossibility like it was with High Tension. Get Circumcised for 100k? Well, this article is absurdly one-sided but I didn't want to just throw a statistic out there without a citation of some kind, but the circumcision rate in the US is 32% as of 2009, which is a sharp decline from the 56% it was in 2006 (and it had been steadily declining since the 1970s). So to answer your question of "who isn't circumcised in America anymore'": most young boys. Posted in: Off Topic |
