Re(1): Bodog cancels and refunds "Multiple Bracelet Prop" I got the same thing. It is kind of BS. If I made a bet on Bodog that I latter decided I didn't want to make, I wouldn't be able to take it back. Their site states "No refunds" when you are placing the bet. Too bad that doesn't work both ways. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): liklihood of one player winning two WSOP events this year? Bodog took the bet down. I got 40 to 1. I told my buddy about it and we couldn't find the bet anymore. I think too many people hopped on this one and Bodog figured something was wrong. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): How long is the average Non Turbo SNG on Bodog? Non Turbo's' I think a half hour is fast. Seems like they usually take an hour. 5 minutes has got to be a world record. I would have liked to watch that one. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Is it a good play on bubble of FT to move in w/ 88 vs UTG Raise? I don't know if it is a good play, but I wouldn't call it a bad play either. With 13 left, there is only 6 or 7 players at your table and pocket 8's have a reasonable shot at being the best hand. He also has the possible fold equity if he can make you throw your hand away. Generally, aggression is rewarded in hold'em and the play seems reasonable. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Part 2: Late Stage MTT play... I think this is better than your first article. The reason it was hard to write is that there is a lot to think about in the late stages. Most early and middle stages strategy involves playing tight-aggresive with occasional cheap flyers. You raise some great points about bluffing and stealing strategically without being reckless. I am going to print this out and keep it next to me in my next MTT. I think it will help me keep my focus. Thanks. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Playing good hands when you are on the bubble I think you should have pushed pre-flop. You can't limp, that's just asking for someone to come over the top. The standard 3X raise also opens the door for someone to try to push smaller stacks off the hand. By going all in, you force him to decide if he wants to risk 16k on a pair of 6's. You are going to play the hand. It is important to win it, even if just for the blinds and antes. You may have been destined to go broke on this hand either way, but I think you need to apply maximum pressure. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Laying down KK Thanks for the responses. I wanted the unbiased opinion of people who know what they are talking about. This hand has been bugging me, because I knew what the actual result was. I folded the K's face up and was suprised when he showed me AQ. Not such a good laydown... Anyway, I came back and finished 2nd for my highest cash ever, $3200! I think a lot of the better players are in Aruba and were not playing in the tournament, but I'll take the increase in bankroll any day! Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Laying down KK Playing in the UB 109 buy-in Friday night. Aboout a half hour in (I think blinds are 15/30), I pick up KK in early position. UTG (t3000) raises to 75. He seems like a solid player and has only shown down big cards so far. I (t2300) am directly to his right and I raise the pot. (Sorry, I don't remember the exact amount, but i think it was around 225). Everyone folds around to UTG and he calls. The flop comes QJx rainbow and UTG bets 200 and I raise the pot to 800. He immediately types "AA or KK'" Then he types, "Ok, I'll take a shot." and moves all in. I take as much time as I can and then ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): BEST WEEKLY TOURNEY IN VEGAS???? Check out the MGM. They have a great new poker room. When I was there in June, they ran a good $60 buy in tournament. I forget if it was just on certain days or if it was a daily tournament. The Mirage usually has good weekly tournaments, but I haven't been there in a while. The Bellagio runs bigger buy-in tourneys ($500-$1000) on the weekend. They will have one table sattelites for those that you can take a shot at. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

better way to play this? I'm sure there is. I could have raised the turn. I probably had the best draw as well. I was hoping to get more chips from the big stack, who was playing a lot of hands. Re(1): What do you guys think? First time poster. I make no claims to be a great, or even very good, player. I remember seeing this and thinking you laid down the winner. I thought PillPacker would make that move with a wide range of hands. Looking at it a day later, however, I think you made a good decision. If you called and lost, either by being behind or by getting sucked out on, your tournament prospects are severly damaged. If you win, I am not sure how much it will affect your eventual outcome, as it is still pretty early in the tourney. By folding, you still are a big stack and can still play the bully or just look ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
