Re(2): Hypothetical All-Star SNG assuming 200-1k buyin players Bax Sheets Pen Gigabet Smokey Hassan Leemur SuckoutPro Me Seriously, Stars should organize something like this as Poker(Stars) Superstars or whatever.... series of 10 * 2k buyin sitngos (standard format), each player puts up additional 5k or 10k for leaderboard to be distributed to top three players at end 50/30/20... and dream up some incentive to have us all wanting to kill each other rather than the fishies. Re(6): question about sng ROI i agree the jump from $6 to $16 is a big leap, but if you have the roll and the ROI at the level below you may as well jump in - particulaly since you will be paying less in fees proportionately. Why not try the $10 slow ones as a halfway house first' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): question about sng ROI this only applies to one tables. plus if you are doing better than 25% at a given level after 1000 games you are probably not maximising your expectation and should move up. for example, when i played 200s and 215s i had an overall ROI of around 15% across party and stars (mostly fast structures), so i wouldnt really have cared what ROI i could make in $6 ones - 25% assumes a player attempts to maximise EV, not ROI. Let us know where you are when you get to 1000 ;-) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): question about sng ROI generally speaking 1000+ sngs at a given leven is a significant sample and 25% is the best ROI achievable, though this % is significantly lower if you play fast structures. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

PokerStars VIP Supernova freeroll structure... I just sent this to PS, if you feel the same way and would like it changed feel free to cutnpaste or email yourselves... Hi Lee, I wanted to email you regarding the Supernova VIP freeroll, after playing a few times now and talking to other players about it. Whilst we all feel the VIP scheme is an excellent idea and 'free money' is always welcome, we are wondering if you would consider changing the structure, perhaps making it even more top heavy than normal events. This is because: - the current structure encourages players to play tight early and gamble once they get their $100. This ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

showing holecards on Stars million replays... so i got the email through asking permission to do this and naturally i said it would be suicidal to give away a lot of info for no reason... but i wondered what everyone elses thoughts are on this (especially ranked players) since so many people seem to allow it. Re(2): Shut Down Sharkscope i see a lot of this crap on the rare instances i stray into poker fora, so for the record id like to say that i actually think its a useful tool in the right hands, and is certainly accurate enough to provide a decent inicator of who youre playing with when coupled with your own observations and stats. They only claim a 95% plus capture rate but its important to remember that this isnt going to predudice a meaningful sample of data, eg 1000 plus sngs at a given level. All databases of this type distort the realities in some respect. Of course if youve let innisints dog play on your account, ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
