My buddy was asking me the other day if I was going to play poker that night and I said "yes". Making a pot sized rereraise after a bet, raise and flat makes sense. Flat calling is out of the question. You MUST narrow the field, you don't want a large multi-way pot with AA. A pot sized rereraise should scare off the riff raff (hands like low and middle pairs and suited connectors) but hands like QQ and TT are getting good odds to see a flop and you have them both drawing to 2 outs. You make more $$ in the long run with this play.

2 things I've been told have helped for me. 1. SLOW DOWN and THINK. If you take your time on each street and try to figure out what he is trying to accomplish with the line he has taken (check/call, bet out, raise, ETC...) You can pretty much narrow his hand range to something managable. 2. GO WITH YOUR GUT. If the betting tells you you are beat, more times than not you are behind. Fold and move on. These 2 tips have helped me greatly and have help lower my variance and bad beats. I am making better decisions and my confidence is growing.

I smooth call the raise, and reevaluate if reraised preflop. Post flop, you hit it and play for stacks gradually. if you miss no big deal, some call it a spew, I don't you could have doubled up through Maccakid ATC. This FAR outweighs a little "spew".

Not because you just said this, But I would flat and play it for set value as if it were a middle pair. if the board comes rainbow rags and its checked to me then I shove forcing AK to play to 6 outs twice and lower pairs to 2 outs.

This is true Jo, but what about getting suck out on time and time again' How do you judge yourself then' How do grinders get suck out on in one tourney and keep playing other tourneies that same day' I get sucked out on and I'm pissed and tilt like a motherfucker and can't play again for atleast a day.

Is FTP up to something? Now with EDIT
I'm am not a one for conspiracy theories but this made me think. Why is the 2nd largest poker site issuing bad checks' Is it because they don't want ppl withdrawing money in a bad economy (coupled with less pll depositing) and the site lossing customers in the process to Cake and UB who have a much lower deposit amount and lower buy in tournies' WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS' EDIT: Just checked my FTP account and they credited my account the $800 +$50 and I haven't even tried to deposit it yet. What site do you like best and for what reasons?
I like Full Tilt for the Avatars are fun (better than someone posting something stupid like there dog or a fish they caught in the window) and the game play is the best, and easiest on the eyes. Final Tables of MMTs are the coolest IMO.

Poker Random Number Generator question?
I was thinking the other day, How do RNG's work' What I mean by that is, Does the RNG constantly generate numbers (cards) and the poker program only grabs the next number (card) such as a lottery ball machine or are the numbers (cards) "shuffled" and are put in a random yet predetermined way and only the next number (card) is picked such as a real deck of cards' Does anyone know the real answer'

your buy in for cash should only be about 2 to 4% of your entire bankroll. So based on these numbers you can do some calculations to figure out when you can move up and with such a small % of your stack at risk you can 1. play more comfortably 2. NEVER lose your entire bankroll. Hope this helps.
