Re:.5/1 flopping a flush Don't do this please, at .5/1 there is no reason to get cute build the pot early and often. If he happened to out flush you cooler, reload and move on. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:.5/1 flopping a flush After the board pairs and he leads out after you check i just go ahead and call as opposed to reraising as 44,33, and larger Ax type flushes, as well as smaller 98,78,j9 type flushes are a large part of his range. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Check calling also lets him bluff at the pot if he just decided to go nuts, which is possible with at .5/1. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After this turn lead by him i would check call ... Re:Can you call the turn? (for chip lead in Daily B) I call the turn bet because if you are a big enough donk to call pre with J2s in the small blind then you would be stupid enough to also shove any ace of which he is ahead of your range/has the pot odds to call. I would be willing to bet with calls like this pre you probably didnt have the best table image in the world, all of which can add up to a call, IMO. PS, dont you want people calling allin drawing to 12 outs' PPS, you would not have folded the hand. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Can you call the turn? (for chip lead in Daily B) This thought process, along with the rambling that accompanied his original post are one of the many reasons that poker will always be profitable at some level. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Heads up nl cash BR mangement If you really want to be safe i would say 50 buyins minimum per limit. That is the guideline that i use, the swings in heads up cash can be incredibly nasty long term. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Very tough spot for me in the 9am $100 tourney on the actual bubble...what do you do? Because if you raise to 8500 he is not going to shove thinking he has fold equity because he has none. In fact if you want him to play worse hands shoving is the best play as it looks much weaker than a smallish reraise, which often times represents a big hand. Therefore shoving is the best and only play. That is why lol. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:$65k gtd, get it in or fold? well since he limped UTG i am assuming he is not an above average player, and you have to either push or fold here. With that said i think the villain range is 33,KK-AA, QJ-Q9, KJ, KJs, Aks, AJs, any two suited connectors. Maybe like K10, A10 type hands. So i think that this is definitely a shove. And dont listen to the Above poster he is dumb. Checking KQ in the big blind is fine IMO. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
