Re(3): I'm in love Yeah, Katherine is awesome; great singer and VERY hot. She's a top contender and the best girl by far, but I'm not sure if she can beat a few of the guys like Chris Daughtry. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(7): 24 question No, we never saw the plotting. Since it is done in "real time," we would never have seen anything prior to the start of the day. And any conversations today were understandably left out of the show, since we never knew the significance of the mug until tonight. So in short: Lynn's sister used him, her boyfriend used her, and the terrorists used the boyfriend to infiltrate CTU. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(4): Lost vs. 24 Definitely start Lost from the beginning. It's not as important in 24, but I would recommend it so you would better understand the characters and plot lines. And Lost > 24, but that's not taking anything away from 24 because it is a close second. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(3): 24 question If you remember, earlier in the day Lynn's sister manipulated him into coming out side of CTU to help her. From her perspective, it was just a mug for drug money--her boyfriend came from behind, beat him up, and stole his wallet. They also emphasized the key card being stolen, so we knew it would come into play later on. We now know that Lynn's sister had no idea that her boyfriend had an agenda of his own. We don't know exactly how, but the terrorists hired him to retrieve the key card for 20K. Tonight, we see the terrorist come get the key card and execute both of them. The terrorist then ... Re(5): 24 WOW WOW WOW. This is why I love 24, for nights like this!!! Sad but very dramatic and intense ending, and altogether a GREAT two hours of riveting television. These writers are absolutely brilliant, and it is refreshing to see such unpredictability implemented in a tv show... RIP Edgar, you're in very elite company with the silent ticker... Re(4): tiger woods Just FYI I definitely didn't call him a luckbox. He's been playing absolutely incredible. I just find it interesting that players *choke* more often when Tiger is either lurking, even, or slightly ahead. I was just asking why that is, since it really should have no bearing on how another top pro hits the ball. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(2): tiger woods Really though, Miller put it best when he said that yet again tiger wins after the rest of the field gives it to him. This is atleast the third time this year that the other guys in contention flounder down the strech. Are they still intimated by him' I don't understand why that should play into them not hitting the ball like they have been the entire week. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(2): UNC or DUKE Enjoy it while it lasts. Duke will get it together, hopefully. Please Coach K get JJ a sports psychologist or something quick, because something is definitely off right now...But I'll give credit to UNC, they played solid and this is a huge win for them. And Hansborough is an abolute beast... Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(6): Great Duke Article That's fair 2 guns up, I didn't say this is THE primary reason, but I think it plays a role for some. There are many reasons why people hate Duke, and I think race is one of them. Think about it: ACC basketball is largely dominated by blacks, yet Duke--traditionally relatively white--is almost always on top. Among other things, that really pisses some people off. Basketball is one of few bastions of black supremacy, and some don't like seeing that being undermined. Also, there is an inherent reluctance and fear of a white person to mock anything black because of the societal ramifications. ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(4): Great Duke Article Why is success so resented in our society' The Yankees, the Lakers, Duke, maybe even USC now...I guess it makes sense, but it's an unfortunate innate human condition. Success should be lauded, not belittled. And in Duke's case, I do think race plays a part. I have been to MANY, MANY, MANY sporting events, on all levels, and more often than not white players (speaking about basketball here specifically) are heckled more than anyone. The black fans will naturally disrespect the white basketball player, but white fans do the same. Discrimination against white athletes is a disturbing trend in ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(3): fsu beats duke I'm not gonna lament over the *suspect* officiating, it was a good game and FSU ultimately wanted it more than the Dukies. Despite the drop in the rankings, I don't think the loss is all that bad. It will be a nice wake up call before Da Madness. And I hope JJ gets out of the funk he is in, or else they won't make the FF. They're having a slump (as a team, and JJ individually) at the wrong time. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(9): NBA Debate Sokpuppet, you can't take anything Barkley says seriously. He is a clown notorious for making ludicrous statements. People (e.g. Barkley) still believe in the old Dallas Maverick myths: they play no D, don't rebound, are weak inside, etc. Well, they rank 7th in defense (avg opposing team pts scored), rank 5th in the league in rebounding, and surprisingly are finding some good inside presence in Diop and even Dampier. With Avery Johnson now at the helm, "Big D" stands for defense. Even so, they still are one of the highest-scoring offenses in the league (which makes their 7th-ranked defense ... Re(5): Roe vs Wade You'd be assuming wrong. I follow the NBA very closely, have NBA League Pass, and usually watch EVERY DAY. I'll admit my opinion of "Melo" is subjective, since I simply do not like him. I think behind "Starbury," he is the most overrated player in the league. I can't even call him Marshmelo anymore since he lost weight. Either way, he is a horrible outsider shooter and I can't stand the praise he gets. He has been improving lately (as a player, not a shooter), but I don't think he deserved to be on the all-star team. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(2): Roe vs Wade WHERE THE F IS JJ REDICK ON THAT SQUAD'!!!! Oh, and I agree with the decision to leave Iverson and Odom off the roster. I don't think anyone from the '04 Olympic team, with the exception of a few like Lebron, should be on the new team. We need some new blood in the mix. Crymelo shouldn't have made the 22-man training camp roster. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(5): There is a lot of talk about internet bill "Unless you buy all the Christian right crap. Apparently Jesus is OK with the lottery that exists in every state." You lose any and all credibility once you make that statement. Some of you need to do your homework on the origins of "separation of church and state" and what principles this nation was founded upon--and that's all I'll say about that. And about the supposed decline of the President's approval ratings: 1-the CBS Poll is incredibly skewed, but to no surprise it's being used as a talking point everywhere. FYI-271 Republicans were polled, 409 Democrats, and 337 "Independents." It ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(1): Orlando Magic cut Penny Hardaway You never thought Orlando made that trade to re-acquire Penny, right' There is no reason to mess with team chemistry with a guy who is going to be dropped at the end of the season anyway. Good move, says I. The Magic are definitely making some good front office decisions finally (I love the Darko Arroyo trade, expect both to produce big time now that they have been emancipated).
