Re:Which substance brings out your A game???
haha i love how this degen post was clearly (i hope) a joke and now it's a leading thread on p5 do you think any top pros ever use anything before a session' live i doubt it because reputation etc etc... but I'm just talking about in the comforts of their own home playing online. i have heard ziigmund has sometimes been wasted drunk while playing the nosebleeds.... haha but do you think ivey or dwan or any of them ever fire up a bowl before/while they are playing'' and @ all the haters in the thread, smoke a fattie and chill out, we can't all be as perfect as you

Re:20c- Flatted by a world class MTTr....now what?
i see the logic for c/f, because I think hes trapping with AA KK a good % of the time. But IMO if i am shifting to aggressive gear and raising EP with QJ then I cannot just give up on Q high flop. think of the hand ranges that timex is putting you on. you are unfamiliar to him, and he has to be expecting an unknown to always cbet: AA, KK, any Q, and possibly JJ 1010. when you check the flop, it either looks like you are holding a scared AK / 88 or maybe a monster like QQ. you flat his bet and then check the turn... it couldn't be much weaker. you are asking to be abused. could he be ...

I didn't think to save it at the time, but I have been thinking about this hand a lot in the past few days. I will do my best to recount the situation but obviously some details such as stack sizes will be approximate. I made the final table in the $109 40k guarantee event on pokerstars, and was in 6th place with 8 people remaining. My stack was at roughly 200,000. Blinds I believe were at 2k/4k. For what it's worth, the players in 7th and 8th place were both down around ...

Re:Cashout question...
I am in a similar position, just had my first big month of poker, looking to cash out a bit over 15k. Except I am a student and don't want to pay taxes... I was thinking about taking out five 2.5k in echecks and leaving the rest on to play. Is this going to get me in trouble' I have cashed out 2.5k before with no worries, but never more than once in a month.
