Derrick Rose - Greatest Point Guard of All Time??? True or False?
5 years from now, we will be able to say that D Rose is the best 'lead guard' ever. By lead guard, I mean someone who begins the offense by looking for his own offense and then his teammates second. This is not a slam on him. He has to with the team that he plays with. Right now, AI is #1 but D Rose will pass him because his teammates are better than AI's. Maravich is number 2 on that list. I never saw him play, but I trust Bill Simmons and other knowledgeable basketball people on this. Tiny would be #3. I forgot about the Big O, he would actually be #1 in this category. Bump everyone else ...

On Wisconsin is a good fight song and I dislike the Badgers. USC has a pretty good song too.

Re:Joe Cada on David Letterman
Cut Cada some slack. He's 21. Plays an online game for his job. 99% of the population would freeze up or worse on that big of a stage. I'm 41 and I know that I would have puked before or during the show. Walk a mile in the guys shoes before you slam him. He seems fairly engaging at the poker table. With practice, he will do the same on TV.

Re:Best Closer in MLB?
Give me Hoffman for consistency and been there done that....BREWERS FTW! Obv wouldn't kick Nathan and Rivera out of the bullpen for eating crackers. Most of these other guys will flame out in 3 years...overthrowing and overuse.

Re:Where's the edge coming from when all players are perfect?
To answer your question: AQ vs 1010 plays out, but it is all the plays/reads/moves prior to that flip that make up the game we love. As graps mentioned earlier, try to improve on each street of every hand earlier in the tourney to max your stack to survive the flips. Thousands of decisions are made in each tourney, the goal is to make as many correct decisions as possible. There is no 'perfect poker'. There is only the effort to play perfectly. Mix in variance and bingo you have a recipe for frustration, if you are not mentally/emotionally tough enough to handle it. The best players ...

Re:How do you play this flop/turn
Flat on the flop. If flopyou calls flop action as well, then you are prolly drawing to a full house. If flopyou folds, then raise turn as I believe that you are now ahead.

Re:Crazy hand in miniftops.
I fold in your spot after shove. I think this guy had u pegged for the case A/ JJ+. Maybe he thought that if he bet out then you would fold (his tight image) and that the crazy overshove was more likely to be called. I'm no expert, but I have seen that play work often enough in the lower stakes for that to be his line.

Re:Players Only/Cake Network Withdrawls.....
Had 3 $30r wins there last year. Took almost 12 weeks to get these withdrawals back to me. They were in the midst of changing check processors. 2 of the 3 checks bounced. Prior to this fiasco, they had been very prompt with the checks via DHL. Now they have UseMyWallet. Take that option, as stated earlier.

Re:Is poker a skill or luck game? 10 page paper...
OP, Since your report is for English class, meaningful resources, passion about the topic, and a well constructed flow to the report is all you need. Check the PPA website...I know that they had a very lengthy and interesting report on poker as a 'skill' game. As was stated before, any time you write/work on a topic that you are passionate about, the results will always be greater. GL on the paper and at the tables! You will probably be asked to present this to the class after you get an 'A'

Re:How many of you never berate people after they suck out on you?
I never berate anyone for questionable play/results. I always just hope I see them again so that I can try to exploit it. If I busto before a big bubble (money, FT), I just close the screen. If I bust any other time, then I say gg gl and leave. I love when people start the trash talk.....then all bets are off.

Re:Thoughts on cake poker
I play on PlayersOnly. Love the nightly $30R. As others have stated, it is softer than the 'name' sites. I had issues in the summer with getting a withdrawal. Took 3 months. Any site that has Kamikaze tourney has its fair share of degen gamblers....WOW! Easy to sat into their Sunday major (especially the Sat night gold chip tourney).

Re:The results are in! voting for "the well"
I agree with dgillis. I am in the long time lurker category. I've read articles in the past but never really browsed any of the discussions until recently when I came across the well by gboro. That was informative and fun. If more of the content on this site is like that, then I will continue to lurk, possibly post (if any of you want to hear from a fish like me) and enjoy reading about news in the poker community. AJK, bax and sheets would be on my 'well' list.

Re:Quick rebuy question
Think of it as insurance...if 90% rebuy, then your chip lead just shrank by the rebuy amount to the entire field. If you go deep into the tourney, the add-on will be more than covered by increased payout.

Players Only added to the rankings
Are there any regulars from Players Only out there' I think that the rankings should track results from this site. there is a nightly $20k guarantee, weekly $75k and a monthly $150k. there are typically anywhere from 4-5k players on the site. Thoughts'
