Re:Tough Decision at river with AK! Do you call or fold here? You should have thrown in a big reraise to get heads up or to take it down right then. Why would you ck/call the flop and turn and then fold the river' I would have lead out the flop big to take it down. On the river in this hand the way you played it I would have shoved the river or at least called with my set. What hands did you put the aggressor on' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:SNG expert's help needed. You need to be calling in this situation. He has to be shoving virtually ATC in this spot and you have A7, easy call. There is no downside to calling because even if you lose you still have huge chip advantage and you can still abuse both of them. I think you gain very little by folding in this situation. Electronic Tables at Excalibur I was in Vegas last week and noticed at the Excalibur poker room has converted to all Electronic Tables no dealers. The tables are pretty cool and worked like a dream. The Excalibur runs two tournaments daily 9am and 1p.m. they might have a midnight tourney too, can't remember. The 9am is 18+2 and the 1pm is 25+5 with 3000 chips starting and 15 min levels. I wonder if other casinos will follow suit with these tables. Oh, btw, I only got to play the 1pm once as I found out about them the day before I left, but I really enjoyed it as I took it down. lol! Poker Ace HUD Is anybody else still having problems with Poker Ace not working' I have sent 5 emails and posted on their forum and PM'd Josh over at PokerTracker/Poker Ace and have gotten zero replies and my Poker Ace is still not working. If I was thinking about buying any software from them I would think twice given the level of customer service and these "downtime" issues. It is sad that people have paid to register their software and they figure out a way to disable your software so you can't use it even though you paid for it. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:where would you rate this on the donk-o-meter? Well, I don't know about donk-o-meter here, but as I was reading it after the first raise I was thinking that the other guy had to have AA, then after the flop there was no doubt in my mind so I scrolled down, and imagine that, he had AA. Did you ever think that perhaps your opponent had AA' I think you lost a ton of money on this hand that you didn't need to lose at all. Unless you have some read on him that he is reraising light, I would think this is an easy chk on the flop, and see that he does. You want to show your hand down obv., but a little pot control on your part was in ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

SNG pushing multiple hands in a row I have noticed that for some reason, probably human nature, but if I push a hand sometimes I am reluctant to push a second Q3o type hand in a row. even though the numbers say to push. It maybe an obvious answer, but if you were faced with a situation where it called for you to push 3 hands in a row in a SNG would you do it, or would you reluctantly fold one of them' I know in my heart that I should just push away and let the chips fall where they may, but I find myself reluctantly folding sometimes when I know I should push. Thoughts/comments appreciated. thanks Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): OK, Here's The Response You've Been Waiting For amazing that anyone cares. PROTECT YOUR CARDS live, or online if you happen to be sitting where there are players in the same tourney or at your table, doh. If anybody was at a poker table and the guy next to you lifted up his cards while looking at them and you saw them, that is his problem not anyone else's. a lot to do over nothing. It was Kevin's fault for not protecting his cards from being seen, PERIOD. I will now go die of aids somewhere Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): folded pocket kings with qxx flop and called a donkey since your whole rationale for telling them what you had is really weak. Why would you believe anything that this person would say to you in this moment' To say that you go some kind of information from his response is pure speculation. You don't think that he would lie to you' Why couldn't he have KK, yes, it is less reasonable given that is what you have, but face it, it happens. He played his KKs the way most would on a Q high flop. If I was at that table after hearing someone say that they laid down KKs on a Q high flop, I would shove them as often as I could because you announced to the table ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): How do you play QQ here to find out where u stand? As flops go that is not that bad of a flop for QQs, either you are way ahead or way behind. The odds will say that it makes it much less likely that your opponent has an A if there are two on the flop. Also, I would factor in that you had 3 limpers up front and it is possible that one of them even had a weak A before folding to your raise. I think that on that flop I would bet 2/3 to 3/4 of the pot and see what happened. The 1/2 CB is fine for most times, but I really want some info. If he calls I know that he likes his hand some what, or he is waiting for me to give up and just take it from ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Anyone else have problems with Poker Tracker Does anyone else have problems with this POS software freezing up on them when they import tournament summaries' I mean how damn pathetic is it that this thing freezes up if you try and do something else while it is importing a tournament summary. And then when you email the support guy he is totally clueless and basically tells you tough luck. What kind of crap is that after you spend money on a product, and then it doesn't work properly. Does anybody know of some other software that basically does the same thing except better than that crap' Don't waste your money if you haven't bought ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): im confused Why are you calling a big raise with that hand' you will be out of position and are dominated by a lot of hands that would raise there. On the flop you made a very bad call. You show weakness he bets then you flat call, and then you ck/raise the turn. He had a terrible hand, but a lot of players will gamble with flush draw. you cost yourself by playing a marginal hand out of position for a raise and then you compounded it by calling the flop and then you ck/raise someone that has been showing strength the whole time, very bad. PS Try making a move with some kind of hand and not against ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): WTF do you do w/ AA here ? On that board don't you have to bet a lot more than $14' I mean that is a pretty scary board with straights and flushes. Why not bet the pot there and end this hand or at least find out more info. The turn heart sucks badly, but doesn't checking just open up for someone to make a serioius move on you' Given the flop bet and call, don't you have to lead out with a bet on the turn and maybe take it down there to someone that doesn't have a heart draw' Chk/folding seems very week to me. I would have raised more on the flop and definetely bet out that turn card. That could scare him more than ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): WAchovia FT Stars 100 Rebuy This reminds me of when I watched some donkey last summer play, JohnnyBax. Yeah I watched this guy and could not believe how he played. Everyone made such a big deal out of this guy and yet, he looked anything but spectacular. I remember asking a question on another board about his play and why he would play that way. After being a member of PXF since the beginning and seeing and hearing why MR. JOHNNYBAX plays the way he does it made perfect sense. The bottom line is unless you are sitting in his chair and have the knowledge base that he has you will never truly be able to understand ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(5): PokerXFactor Questions, considering signing up. I think you are missing something because they have shown many $10 tourneys, rebuys, that they play. The pros usually record things that they play and so you are going to see a lot more of the higher buy-in events, but they do the very low buy-in tourneys as well, everything from 10, 50 100 and above. The priniciples that you learn by watching them play in these higher events is still very very useful knowledge to take to lower levels. You are not going to find a magical answer that works for every situation or buy-in. The purpose in training sites is to open up your mind to all the ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(5): If you haven't joined pokerxfactor, you despise money You couldn't be more misguided my friend, but then again people will rationalize any and everything in order to justify not doing something. You couldn't be more wrong about low buy-in events and PXF being of no use. I increased my ROI %30 in the first 2 months after joining PXF and I play mostly 20 events. Although I have played 4 100$ plus events, final tabling my first 109$ event, and no, I was not lost when it came to playing the "pros" or the "advanced High buy-in" players. PXF will increase anyone's game, from pro to novice. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): A Note from the PPA Yeah, the PPA is a great organization. Too bad they were totally asleep at the switch when Washington State was making online gambling illegal. Once the dominoes start to fall it will be harder and harder to prevent the eventual ban that will be coming down the road. The PPA blew it when it came to fighting the battle. How could the PPA not have a clue about what was going on in Washington until it was too late' Posted in: Poker Discussion |
