If Rafa won without the $50 hedge, I'd lose $163. If Rafa won with the $50 hedge, I'd only lose $33. If any of the other 3 won and I placed the $50 hedge on Rafa, I'd only win $28. Looks like it makes most sense to just let it ride after crunching the numbers. Thanks for the input fellas

Yeah, he looks really good so far. My only worry with not hedging is if Djokovic loses to Federer tomorrow, I think Nadal would have a good shot winning that match. If Djok gets past the semis, I think he takes Nadal down in the finals since he's beat him like 5 times in a row.

OK, so I have the following bet placed on 5Dimes - 8/29/11 11:00am Props Tennis 25 Djokovic/Federer/Murray wins US Open -210* vs Field wins US Open. It's down to the semifinals (4 left) Djok vs Fed and Murray vs. Nadal For my original bet I laid $163 to win $78. My balance is currently $351, so if I won the bet my new balance would be $592. If Nadal wins, I'd obviously lose and my balance would remain at $351. My question is, if you were in my shoes, would you hedge a bit on Rafa at +260 to win the Open, say $50. He looked pretty damn good today against Roddick. If I hedged $50 and Nadal ...

OMG I just called ESPN radio about the JETS/VIKINGS and....
so 3% of the time they drive the field and score td, recover onside kick, make game winning fg. all in 1:30 with no timeouts. you should check your own math

i dunno...maybe my opinion on this is biased since i was on jets -4. i just think it's such a non-issue unless you are looking at it from a betting perspective. the chance of either scenario happening are EXTREMELY unlikely. whether it's more unlikely for them to fumble victory formation, you may be right. so whats the big deal' you increase chance of victory from .997 to .998

even if it is more likely for a quick td, recover onside kick, gain 20 yards, make a fg with 0 timeouts than the other scenario the odds have got to be real close. like .0001 percent chance of either happening. plus do you really think most DBs are thinking about going down with 15 yards of open field between them and a pick 6. get real

lol at rather being up by less than a fg in wet conditions rather than a 2 poss. game with 1:30 and 0 timeouts. good logic how many times was a snap fumbled in that game bc of wet conditions' 3' 4'

did you not see the playing conditions' i think it is way more likely that sanchez could fumble a snap in the rain and the vikes could drive 60 yds for a fg to win the game.. you really think driving the field with no timeouts, having to recover onside and kick a fg with 1:30 is more likely to happem' thats retarded and youre prbly just bitter about losing the spread imo

So after doing some research, it looks like we can get on at Las Vegas National for roughly $100 Sat morning. It's only 2 minutes from the strip and appears to be in decent shape. Anyone ever played out there'

I think a lot of us are bringing the sticks with us. In terms of the $100, I was just referring to green fee. I'm sure it will add up to at least $200 with drinks, transportation, club rentals for those who don't bring them, etc.
