Live 1/2 hand-was I not ready to play?
I saw a guy stack off $500 with AK on a similar flop vs bottom set. I LOL'd edit: this was yesterday, also playing 1/3. his $25 C-bet got min-raised and he snap shoved.

Seriously, Live Poker is Crazy!!!!!
Raise to $25 pre, Pot the flop, Jam turn. Ship. It's your first hand. Nobody can put you on AA and most of the people that play 1/2 just play their hand relative to the board and that's IT. People use weak bet sizing like that a lot with over pairs all the time and then bitch about how, "that back door flush got there" or "how could you call the flop with that'"etc. But as played, you need to check back that river.

Las Vegas- What to expect?
Hookers are fun, until you get rolled and/or beat the F down plus herp. I recommend breaking in your Vegas poker cash game virginity at Aria, where you will find plenty of 1-3 action. There will be plenty of droolers, hammered tourists, and mouth breathers for the rapin. I live in KC and the 2-5 game here is full of regs and IMO is much tougher than in Vegas so if that's your bag, that's my two cents. 1-3 is pretty standard.

Very entertaining LV Trip Report
1. Kid takes shot at Vegas as "last hurrah" before college life ends and reality begins. 2. Profit 3. Moved to Vegas and now lives baller life and writes about it. He has a pal that basically does the same thing. Pretty good reading, but it's involved.

Finally some good casino news for Atlanta
I saw these up in Council Bluffs, IA. a couple years ago at either the Harrahs, or Ameristar. It's a pretty sad site IMO. I'd rather play penny slots with the blue hairs.

Yeah I found it kind of disappointing how some people get enraged at me being clean and sober. I actually got a new phone number and only shared it with people closest to me, who understand and respect my situation, which is disappointingly few. I don't mind socializing or being around people who are drinking that much, but I tend to make a quick exit once people start getting shitfaced. I just can't explain myself being around that environment. There are some cold, hard truths I've learned in the last year, and that is a tough pill to swallow. I quit drinking, smoking, and doing drugs on Fat Tuesday 2011. I haven't looked back since. I can honestly say that my quality of life has gotten better but it's amazing at how trying to clean yourself up draws the ostracism from friends and randoms alike. I honestly thought more people would be supportive but I really don't talk to many of those people anyways. I am done with partying and focused on being a better person
