traditions just curious. as a father, if she said question format 1) is it cool if mom walks me down the aisle' 2) is it cool if mom walks me down the aisle as well' or statement format 1) mom is walking me down the aisle. 2) you and mom are walking me down the aisle does either format/question matter' will you tell her what you think' say nothing and deal with it' not go' just curious. i think i would not say anything to her but just be disappointed to myself. i dont want to take away from her day so i would just keep it to myself. traditions great points itt. it should not bother me. i like to believe i am super rational. thats why this is so frustrating. i understand the reasoning for having a mother walk her child down the aisle. it is fine for anyone and everyone. but for my hypothetical future daughter, it would hurt. i would be so proud that she was getting married but man, i would feel sick. traditions I see myself as kind of a traditionalist. I like the idea of doing things the same ways as your father, mother, brother, grandfather, uncle, etc. Mostly for special occasions. Baptisms, weddings, family names (first and last), funerals etc. Well, two of my co-workers were telling a couple of stories from their lives. Mike was telling me that when he got married that his wife insisted on keeping her own name. scale of 1 to 10 of anger on my part, like a 4. what would ot do? we r staying at harrahs ac. a couple of us emailed him and told him to cancel one room cause we dont need it. he was adamant that he could not change it because it was a discount room and we got a big discount (this i find hard to believe because i just checked harrahs website and that is the rate given to everyone) in the midst of the emails one of the guys who i have never met facetiously was saying he wasnt coming cause he didnt wanna spend anytime with the bachelor and took other things we said in the email and spun them to mock us. then he sent the group email a link to . kind of a ... Three live cash hands against the same villain Hand 1: preflop: perfect flop: i dont mind the bet there. tryin to take it down with 5 high is not a bad play. no one showed strength so u could take it down uncontested. the one bad thing that happens from time to time is u get re popped. this is a jam or fold spot. since this is his first hand i would opt to fold. Hand 2: preflop: i think it is ok. u underrep ur hand and could raise alot of flops. 4betting is good to. (40ish seems right) i think calling is slightly better tho flop: check fold seems right. but at least we have two hands of info on villian. next time we will play back at ... what would ot do? two of us emailed him about canceling a room. he said they got a special rate ($465 doesn't sound like a special rate) and they need 72 hours to cancel. i thought it was 24 hours. amslim, ur right. i will have a fun time if i decide to go but my bank acct is like on life support. i have never been a jerk in my life but part of me feels justified in just doing/paying for what was quoted in the booking email. also interested in what u guys think about the other guys who bailed out. should they have to pay regardless' a similar thing happened at the last bachelor party i went to. when is ... what would ot do? so i have a bachelor party this weekend. the original plan was 16 guys goin to ac and staying overnight. 4 to a room cost - $115 / person plus dinner (figure $100/person) I agreed to this. seems like fun. i was worried about expenses cause this is the 3rd of 5 weddings I will be attending in a 18 month span. shit adds up. bachelor party, engagement gift, wedding gift, etc. i figured though i could swing about $250 but not much more. i get an email today with this update - four rooms 12 people. 4 people dropped out. now the cost is $155/person for the room. not only that, without telling us ... Ok guys I played this hand a little funky were on the bubble for final table preflop: obv fine flop: perfect turn: im confused. ur check raise turns ur hand into a bluff. u either check call cause u r affraid. check fold cause u think u r smoked or check raise and call shove. check folding that many chips is gross imo. u cant raise fold in this spot. Live 2/4 Facing 3rd Barrel on River one of the toughest hands to play in that position this deep preflop: raise obv. bet sizing' since u say that is the norm at this game then i guess it is ok. live where i play it is usually 5x-8x the blind. ill take ur word on it being standard and say its fine. flop: i feel like a cbet is in order here. checking gives ur opponents free cards and reveals no info about their hand. bet>check imo. once u check, its a call. i would hate to raise in this spot and i think folding is too weak. turn: since u checked the flop i feel like u got to check the turn. when he bets i think u have to call ... AQs 12bb bad call? i feel like this is the absolute min given ur stack size u should be calling with. 10 10+ AQ+ (probably on the tighter side) first guys shove means nothing to me. he has 5 bbs. very wide range imo second guys knows this and could be shoving light as well. How do I get out of this trap? im assuming by the title you lost this hand (i havent read any replies yet) preflop: 7 handed, 88 is a good hand. u can stack an opponent with the right flop. folding is out. so it is either raise or limp. reads help here but in a vacuum i like to raise this hand. 6 bucks seems right. flop: not a really scary board. i think a cbet is in order. 12 is a good bet size. uh-oh. u got called by both opponents. smells like a jack somewhere. turn: wtf' a third jack' checking is wise here. river: bb checks. got to value bet here. as it stands, i am not too worried about the bb here. he has to bet ... open ender on the flop, top pair on the turn, but you should fold.WWYD? preflop: u can make a valid argument for 3 betting. however, he raised utg so that makes me think twice about 3 betting. flat calling is a good tact. keeps the pot small, u have hand that doesnt play terribly multi way. u will have position on him and u have fantastic pot odds and implied odds flop: it gets checked to you. u have a decent draw. i am a fan of takin the free card. i understand ur small bet and the reasons for why u did it, but alot of times this will induce a bluff raise imo. ur in position and u will ultimately control the size of this pot. u really dont want ur opponent to ... A better way to decide who the "world champion" of poker is? my question is: is this for the world champion of poker' or the world champion of no limit holdem' two very different things imo. cuz if we are talking the world champion of poker, i like their (the wsop) system they way it is. as long as they dont make the final table play one game the whole time like they have in the past. What's your take on Eugenics? i have no idea whether or not i am in favor or eugenics or not. i think i need to mull it over a lil more. however, i disagree with your statement. specifically how you wouldnt understand how a compassionate, caring adult would allow the birth of a child which would have a greatly reduced quality of life at best, perhaps a life of suffering and misery at worst. the first thing i find wrong with this is that u r trying to play fortune teller. no one has any idea what someone's future may hold. a misdiagnosis could happen. even doctors arent perfect. moreover, advances in medical science are ... ? for teachers as a teacher, i want effort. there is nothing more frustrating than giving a lecture or having a discussion and seeing the kids off in their own world. a kid who is actually participating is refreshing. grades and performance are important, dont get me wrong, but actually being a functioning person who participates and wants to be there is what it is all about. thats education. if the room is filled with a bunch of student a's, their potential is always limited. class discussion can never evolve and ideas can never grow. there is no need to go to class. get the text book, read it on your own, ... call of duty help I stink at this game. I have never played a shooter b4 and I am struggling mightily. My kill to death ratio is like .2. I have no idea about upgrades and perks. I think I would enjoy it a lot more if I had some clue. for a noob, what gun should I use' what should I upgrade first' what should I equip' I think I would enjoy sniping best.
