What is a weird talent that you have?
I can do half %'s rather quickly, I was always really good at math. I was the kid that always got in trouble for not showing my work. I always hated the "well how do I know how you got your answer if I don't see your work". Well obviously I got the answer the right way if I got the answer right. You said no calculators...so go fuck yourself. I got a D in that teachers class because he hated me but couldn't fail me because of the standardize testing required by the university putting on the class.

I can do % of numbers extremely quick in my head...a good amount of people can do it, but a hell of a lot of people can't and are amazed by it. It's generally money people talk about, but it's all the same.

It's logical to use it anywhere that the next room up is more then $20. I love when people do it at my hotel...My next room up is only $10 more, I make twenty on something I do for free if you're cool enough. Yeah, you give the clerk $20, they upgrade you at no extra cost

How is punishing your child for being a dipshit child abuse' Was he hurt' I kid can get hurt on the bus, he can get hurt while playing video games when he gets mad when he loses. The government needs to stay the fuck out when nothing happened. Yes it is the mother's responsibility to ensure he was safe. I use to walk 3 miles to school everyday since I was 10 until I got my DL at 16.

the money trap - saxman style
me and a friend just re did his bathroom. He's really handy, can fix/build/remodel anything you can think of. He was just gonna hire someone to do it cause of the lack of time, until he saw labor was just as much as their over priced materials, so we ended up doing it and he saved 4k alone. Some stuff is easy to do, as long as you got the patience and know how.

flipping a coin and odds
degenerate gambling game with cards. Did this with a buddy and it's been on going for 2 weeks and he is running super bad. you got 26 black and 26 red in a deck minus jokers etc. you remove 10 cards. Someone picks red or black. deal out the cards and if you got red and you get more red then black, you are up $ the difference. We are doing it $1 per card. After two weeks he is down almost $300.

West Virginia cancels Sept 8th at Florida State: discussion
WVU has to fill 9 conference games, 3 OOC games and 2 bye weeks. a lot of big 12 schools put a bye week early usually around their OOC games then one later in the season. I'm going to bet big money that september 8th is gonna be a bye week for WVU

Relationship fail scoreboard
haven't had much over 3 months. quite a bit under 3 months. I'd say I'm even on anything under 3 months but over 3 months. I'm 1-2. One was really heart breaking to me, stupid HS love, but still. I was with her for 2 years, her friends started some lies and she believed them and dumped me. Currently with my wife for 6 years next month, married a year and a half.

I watched a documentary about the American public education system that I'd recommend everybody watch who cares about the subject. It's called "Waiting for Superman" and it's available on Netflix. I've seen both sides of public education. I went to a high school for the first 3 years that cared and seemed to cater education to each individual student. We had advisors that put you in classes that would prepare you for college and whatever major you planned on taking on. Then my senior year, I went to a small town high school that has the "one size fits all" mentality. Lets just say I didn't ...

Anyone else looking forward to "Doomsday Preppers"?
I'd say I'm prepared other then mass stock pile of supplies. I've got plenty of guns ranging from pistols to high power hunting rifles to a coule assualt rifles. Dont have those for that reason, but good to have. Trained in hunting, field dressing etc. Also I'm a paramedic. Also, I live in a close knit community so my area would be able to handle such issues a lot better then say metropolitan areas

What are you doing with your life (career-wise) and are you happy?
Currently a GM for a Marriott. I technically work for a Management company/ group of owners not directly through Marriott. I like my job. The only bad thing is, since this is a 24/7/365 operation, I'm on call 24/7/365. Tough to get a nice vacation in when you worry about stuff going wrong etc. Currently, the owner I deal with is a couple years out from retiring and he over sees 4 hotels. I'm in line to take over what he does since no other owner wants to come out to western Oklahoma to do anything. I went to school to be a paramedic -> flight medic
