The fullstack making 4.5x is good enough to thin the field. ***Flatcalling*** Pros: Setmine cheaply, pot control against AA and KK or AK that hits flop, disguises your hand so you can get value from smaller overpairs. Cons: Lose value from smaller overpairs but then again not many ppl go crazy with small overpairs like 99 and TT As for the scenario you expained. After 3-betting to 14BBs, it becomes very diffcult for me to fold, and JJ is probably not in villain's 4-betting range. Just some ramblings of mine. take it fwiw. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:tiffany michelle q8 hand Alot of ppl are giving her crap for the Q8 hand, but once in a while I find a spot like that where I make a superthin value bet(but usually check behind). I dunt kno noone mentions the hand where shes bluffing with Q9. She fires three bullets in position after it checked to her 3 times. The problem is not firing three bullets (the fat guy culda layed down the 7-high flush on a paired board), its the bet sizes were embarrasingly small. If she c-bets flop(standard), bets 3/4pot on the turn, and moves in on the river puuting the fat guy ME life at risk, she has a better chance at winning the pot ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

My Aggro Friend Needs Advice on Direction I have a friend. Whenever we play live cash games just for fun (0.25/0.50), he cant help himself, he 3-bets and 4-bets and 5-bets over and over and over with ATC. He bets if you check, he raises if you bet, and re-raise if you raise. Sometimes his ATC is the nuts but obviusly most of the time its air. He ends up being down 7 or 8 buyins every night, and he cant really afford to lose that. His nickname is Speed Racer. So I tell him. This is a snap call at all levels imo, and if it isnt u are playing way above your limit. A note to OP, In 1/2NL cash I once had a puke spot when I had KsKc on a Qs7s3s flop, because a super extraordinary uber-nitty player flatted a 3-bet preflop, and minraised my 2/3pot c-bet on the flop. I asked p5s for advice, and their anger at me for contemplating a fold was so strong, news got up all the way to lilholdem who posted that I should quit poker. Remember I had ONE PAIR.
