Is this check too risky? Plz help! I checked the turn because I wasn't too afraid he had a diamond. If he did, maybe it would pair the board. Betting out on the flop is not a way to induce a bluff though. And does position really matter that much considering I am putting him on a high pair or AK/AQ, so hes pretty much drawing dead...' Did I play this correct? please comment! Thank you! tyson219, How do you determine to shove w/ 25bbs' Wouldn't you want to protect your stack and not take that risk of losing 25bb (which is a decent amount) on a hand this weak' Especially if you feel you can feel the player out and make a logical choice down the road. See, I figured if he had AK, that's fine. I am gonna see what he does on the flop and then take over, if necessary (depending on what the turn is). If he fights back, fold. I just have a hard time putting AQ in the ditch, but also don't understand your point on pushing w. it. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

KK early in Sunday Million. How could I have played this? You are getting risky by limping with that powerful of a hand. I know you were in early position, but nonetheless, you shouldn't be limping there more than 10% of the time. Secondly, your move on the flop and turn was fine; however, the move on the river was uncalled for and cost you a lot of chips. Don't re raise all in with just KK on a board of that texture. Re:A/Q in early stages In early position, should I entering in the pot 9 handed with a raise or should I fold under the gun' Answer: Under the gun I would make a strong raise of 5x the big blind to put pressure on players. You don't want a lot of people in the pot with this hand. In late position, should I be raising with >1 limper every time' Is it acceptable to limp A/Q in late position and treat it like A/J' Answer: Always raise more with limpers. If I had two limpers in the pot with 20/40 blinds I'd make it $200 to go with AQ. I wouldn't treat this hand like AJ, because its not AJ. Its AQ. ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
