Re(3): Big Hands in Big Cash Game '$.50 is raked from a pot of $16200.' thats such BS... then you goto a short handed 1/2 game and they take 2-3 bucks off it... you could chop 200 off that pot and they wont know... a bit excessive yes, but come on, balance it out.. damn ub. Re(8): UB Well thats how we did it as well, whoever won would send the other person their share. It just pissed me off when the customer support guy called and threatened me saying they were going to split up our money and give it to everyone who made the final table. WTF is that' But i do love their software and structure. Damn them. Just improve hte customer service. I wonder why no software has a built in "chop option" where it could only be initiated at the final table, then everyone must click to agree or something. That would be most handy. Re(5): UB Yes thats what the nice man on the phone told me too. I just find it ridiculous that they threaten to split up your money and give it to the top 10 players. Are there any other sites that are this nazi like when it comes to chops' Stars is pretty good about it arent they' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): UB UB is my preferred playing site, mainly because the software. The customer service however needs an overhaul. Came down to headsup last night in a decent size tourny, and we decided to chop it, so we both sat out while we emailed support since we've never chopped online before. After sitting out for about 20-30 minutes, UB rep called me who could barely speak english and said that if we continue to do this, they will award our prizes to the top 10 people and that we were cheating'' wtf is that.. and while i had him on the phone i explained we wanted to chop and he said we couldnt do that, ... Re(1): Most well disguised AA EVER actually i saw a more well disguised AA, i had 89 hearts, 3 limpers, flop comes A 7 5 (2 diamonds) checks around, turn 6, i bet pot, he calls, river A (i check, thinking he was just playing a rag A, and hopefully i can get a bet here) he bets 10, i raise to 20, he reraises 20 more, so at that point i kinda figure im beat, but stubbornly call, and sure enough he had AAAA, now that was a sneaky AA.. definately didnt see that coming. Re(4): betpot button at UB Just wondering.. what does the button have to do with anything' people can raise whatever they want... personally with a solid hand preflop i prefer to use this trusty bet pot, as oppose to min or weak raising with aces. Long live bet pot!! i wish everything had a bet pot button. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(10): What makes a strong cash game player ? See IKermits latest reply.. The difference is, you could actually make MORE money by not coinflipping if you're above the max buyin... if you're up 300 over the max buyin, and you coinflip with an even stack and lose, now you're going to have to have 100 coinflips just to get that back... so how is that +EV' its all relative to the size of the bet and amount of rebuy if you guys wanna use that trusty rebuy button. And i realize AK is not always a coinflip, we're talking when it IS a coinflip. i.e. against 22. And the odds of you winning red are about 47%, it can be either red, black or ... Re(8): What makes a strong cash game player ? Wow buddy... so after 100 times betting 100 on a 3% edge you MIGHT make 300 bucks' thats good poker to you' thats just gambling.. no real different than sliding over to the roullete table and slapping 100 on red. Virtually the same. and you keep saying you're playing above your limit.. well if you keep coinflipping, it should take what.. about 2000 coinflips (assuming you're not cursed and lose the majority of times) before you can increase your stakes' That sounds like winning poker alright. Rather than choosing your targets and playing wisely and having steady growth, rather than ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

And im wondering how come you havent posted your bankroll and limits you play at' could it be because you lose the majority of the time' anyway, im done with this thread. PUSH THE 22!!!! Re(11): What makes a strong cash game player ? My god.. What changed'' we said from the beginning we UNDERSTAND its a 3% favorite. You make my head hurt. Successful CASH players DONT need a 3% edge to make money since there will be better oppurtunies to put your money in. This must be why some of you players have losing YEARS before making any profit.. you probably finally started to catch some of those coin flips. GG SIR Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(9): What makes a strong cash game player ? i think you have a leak in your brain. We're not argueing that it IS a better situation to have your money in being the 3% favorite, because math clearly dictates, it is... This thread is not what makes a better GAMBLER, its what makes a better CASH player... and cash players, successful ones at that(and you guys are getting insight from 2 successful CASH players). I suggest listen up, they make sense. If you dont know that you're a 4-1 dog when you go all in, then maybe you should step down from the level you're playing at and review your game because you're obviously out of your league. ... Re(3): What makes a strong cash game player ? Well, lets discuss this a little further.. since this is most likely not a typical case, (your opponent showing you his hole cards while you are able to act...) lets present a scenario of equal possibility. You're sitting across from a tight aggressive lephracaun who's being raising alot, lets say every other hand, since this is usually possible at higher limit (than .10/.25 cent) short handed games. He raises to you while twitching his toes, and shows you one ace. You look down at your wonderous cards to find 2 jokers. Do you put him all in knowing that the midget gnome to your left will ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): What makes a strong cash game player ? Ok, so you dont mind dumping your stack on the 3% edge to trap him and get YOUR money back' whereas if you relied on skill in the first place, and not gambling on that kind of an edge, you'd be up rather than even, after your fine trap work of course. Your theory sounds more like gambling than poker. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): What makes a strong cash game player ? What is the missed point about AK/22'' we understand that 22 is the favorite and it should win the majority of the time. But why play that ballsy in a cash game, where it directly effects your bankroll' The point Ikermit made is correct, can you distinguish between an AK raise and say, 10s, 100% of the time' is that 3% edge enough to validate an all in call preflop' why let it goto that' Tournies on the other hand, require you to be far more aggressive since you're racing the clock. Cash games you can sit there all day paying 1/2 for the blinds, or whatever it may be, and wait til you hit ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

You never want to take a coin flip proposition in a tournament ." ... are you serious' how do you do in cash games with this strategy' pushing with the slight favorite, then busting when he catches the coinflip' Me thinks you got it reversed... but im interested in seeing where this strategy in cash games works best.
