Re:Dear Bodog Players I'm a 99% cash player so my opinion may not carry as much weight in this thread but there are major major improvements that could be made in general. All of them have pretty much been said numerous times already but I want to continue to stress the point. 1) Increase the table cap. Even if its just to 6 or 8 that would make a large difference and draw more players 2) Improve the HHs. They are an eyesore and there is not much more to it. Follow the model Stars, FT, Party and basically all other major sites have. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Give us some ideas on how we should structure our forums I think the difference is a lot more striking in cash games. Obviously a WINNING high stakes player's advice is good advice. You seemed to have missed my point though...a good player and a high stakes player are not necessarily one in the same. A high stakes player is not the same as a good player or even an experienced player. I would be willing to bet that I have played more hands than many high stakes players despite still playing 50NL. I see your point about a separation being more of a segregation but without the advice of a good high stakes player, good micro players will step up and ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Give us some ideas on how we should structure our forums A note about the discussion about whether to separate stakes or to not... It all comes down to the fact that there is an ENORMOUS difference between the games at different stakes. I'm a low stakes cash game player, 50NL, and frankly, the advice that a 5000NL player would give me would simply not work at my level. I think the problem with the argument about 'elitism' or whatever is that it assumes all high stakes players are good and all low stakes players are bad. That is simply and obviously not true. There are huge winners at the lower stakes who can crush those games and give excellent ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Hand from $2/5 NL Live you need to bet this flop imo. i like leading with sets as it disguises the strength of your hand. with so much turn action it doesnt really matter though and a shove is your only play. if you are even considering folding this then you are playing wayyyy too scared. sb's range is much much wider than just 45 so get it in there and yell HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLDD oh and if you want to ensure unbiased responses then dont post results initially. it keeps people from being results oriented Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): tough spot w QQ in 2/4 cash game many things first of all...do you have any reads on villain' how has he been playing' pt stats' second of all...how have you been playing' it would be helpful to know how villain could perceive you. without those bits of info im going to assume you and villain have no history. the first thing i would do is raise the flop. without looking ahead, villain could hope you have two overs and take a stab at the dry flop. raising will give you a better idea about where villain is at in this hand much cheaper than a raise on the turn. now if you are going to fold this river then calling villains 3b ... Re(3): When To Leave $0.05/$0.10 NL? you seem like a solid tag and it seems to be working for you. the fish at 25NL are very similar but you might want to open up your game a little bit to take advantage of it. but doing what you are comfortable with is most important...just a suggestion Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): My own 'triple crown' I dont think he was trying to be an arse. I think he was just pointing out the fact that it sounds like 3 wins in a week was a goal for you and by saying 'finally' it sounds like you had been very close. Thus, you much have accumulated a good deal of wins along the way and are thus a very skilled player. aka...take what he said as a compliment =) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): WHY CANT THERE BE MULTIPLE LEADER BOARDS BASED ON LIMITS? as a low limit cash game player it would be nice for the low limits to get some recognition. sometimes its not always about just not being good enough to move up limits, sometimes people have to withdraw to pay some bills and cant afford to move up in limits. whats the harm in recognizing the acheivements at the lower limits' "cause they iz DONKZZZZ!!" is not a good argument imo. Re(4): Interview with DuckU---is his accomplishment the greatest ever in online poker? ^^^My thoughts exactly. I think another good example, though still baseball related, is when a guy hits 4 home runs in a game. Without a doubt that is a sick sick sick accomplishment. Now lets say those are the only 4 home runs he hits in a season. His accomplishment is still insanely sick but you guys are now trying to compare him to A-Rod. A-Rod may not ever hit 4 home runs in a game but his career and single seasons are nonetheless better. Its really comparing two different things here: single accomplishment vs. lifetime acheivement. Re(1): By the Numbers Article The only problem with that is that most successful tournament players don't play just to cash so their ITM number may be lower than the average player. I think the logic they used is better than the one you suggest because of that reason. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
