Poker on your CV Hey, I've seen this topic come up before, but has anyone actually put poker player on a resume' I've just finished College majoring in Economics. Unlike most of the people I'll be in competition with, I've played poker during the summer months as opposed to getting an internship, or course related job. Hence it kinda looks like I just sat at home for the last couple of years instead of working(well I guess I did). I'm mainly asking because I took an extensive course in game theory in my final year, and I was thinking I could link it in somehow... I can't help feeling ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

I can't see how calling 100 raise in pos is a leak with anypair....An early pos raiser in sngs as tight as these has a tiny range like AK,1010-AA... The difference between a 1400 stack and a 1500 stack is minimal(you'll be push folding soon anyway) The difference between a 1500 stack and a 3000 stack is huge (although I think this is only truly applicable at 10/20 blinds, and if your stack is above 1450...) Anyway, interesting hand, I like bet/fold better than C/C flop just because then you really have to call a second barrel on most turns, and most of the time he bets the turn he ... I said this earlier, but this hand completely hinges on what sort of player villian is....There is no definitive answer without knowing whether he is tag or lag, bad or good etc... However against an unknown it is a spew to push flop... From experience I know this to be true, for I make most of my money of players like this who cannot fold these hands 100bbs deep... I'd say 22 and 44 are a large part of his range alright....What is he putting you on' He's got to atleast think one of you has a king, prob the original raiser....Unless you know he can make this raise with hearts or KQ, KJ, like I said before this is a fold on the flop. There are no good Irish movies...Apart from that Michael Collins is a good watch, so is intermission...Colin farrell, even thou he can come off as a twat, is a savage actor...Braveheart was scottish, although involved the Irish and is an awesome movie(cause the british get stuffed!). Once is an enjoyable watch...But the best thing to come out of Ireland in the last twenty years(forget U2) is tommy tiernan, google him, he is one of the funniest comedians ever! Re(2): AKo vs UTG + 2 / SNG Hand Jennifear that only applies if we get to showdown though....Also he will only continue betting with hands that have us beat on the turn, It doesn't factor in the unplayability of this particular hand, on this board, against his range. Also you have virtually no positional advantage in this hand, because your play will and should be dictated by what he does... What I mean is that although you hit the flop, it really is a bad flop for you against his range of hands...So you will never be raising flop, or turn or river(aside from J, and maybe not even then). I think flat preflop is better than 3bet-call shove or 3bet-fold to a shove, against his range, which I figure from your description is close to 22-AA, A10+, maybe even tighter.... I think the best line postflop with AK against his range( which hits this flop very sweetly), is to call flop continuation bet( as I presume he will lead with 100% of his range, ie including small pockets etc). If he doesn't then I think it could be argued that a flop fold would be best. And if you call flop, you should have called with the intention of folding to any turn bet, ...
