WSOP Circuit Regional Championship There are also updates on Card Player--they have the rights to live updates for the WSOPC events. Be warned that they tend to only do double ups and bust outs, but between that and @pokernews on Twitter, that is about as close to live as the updates are going to get for that particular event. $10 P5s T-Shirts: S-XXL in stock. New color added. Wearing one of my new P5s shirts right now and I am absolutely in love. In the ridiculous Las Vegas heat having a nice, thin, comfortable t-shirt cannot be overrated. If you haven't invested one, I strongly encourage you to sooner rather than later. The dark grey ones are especially rad = ) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Thoughts on "IVEY'S ROOM" I don't have the ones of the room itself, but there are a couple of photos from the event here: / There is also a vid from the event up on PNews where you get a much better glimpse of the place: Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Thoughts on "IVEY'S ROOM" It is the new high stakes room at the Aria Poker Room. It is in the vein of Bobby's Room at the Bellagio. They did the official launch for the room yesterday and i have genuinely never seen Phil Ivey so happy in his life. He was saying it will be the place for high stakes games this summer instead of Bellagio. The room is really nice, lots of big plasmas, seems a little more spacious than Bobby's Room. There is also a glass door so you can see inside and see who is playing, which is kind of cool. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Is there a P5's Live reporting team set up for WSOP? I don't know if this is much consolation, but I do want to let you guys know that several of us who used to work for P5s Live will be present during the summer. I'll be working for Bluff and Rich and Brett will both be working with Poker News. I am not sure what our exact plans are in terms of covering online players for the summer, but you guys can at least rest assured that there will be people in the media at a number of outlets who at least know who the online players are. I don't know about Rich and Brett, but I would love to meet any P5ers playing at the series, so please ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Poker Vocab Debate This is a valid point, but my question is this: would you ever write "15 bb" w/o following it up w/ the word "stack"' Yes, it is used to describe the size of a stack, but when denoting how many blinds you have, you typically write 15bbs, no' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Poker Vocab Debate I realize this is a bit of an asinine question to post here, but I am having a debate with one of my fellow reporters, BJ Nemeth. When referring to how many big blinds a player has in their stack, what is the more commonly accepted way to describe a stack of 15 big blinds. Or, to put it another way, how would you write it' a) 15 bbs b) 15 bb Any input would be greatly appreciated = ) Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Lucky You Like many others in this thread, I remember him moving his cards out of the hole cam area and looking at them in secret. I also could be making this up, but I feel like an actual player like Erik Seidel or someone did the same thing when the cameras were first introduced and that the incident in the film was inspired by something that happened in real life. Re:Is the Durrr Challenge ova? Matchroom Sport, the sponsor of the live durrrr Challenge said it was supposed to run sometime in September (which has obv come and gone). They announced that Sammy George, a British cash game player, had accepted the Challenge back in August, but there has been no update since then. I'm guessing its on the backburner for now since durrrr is slated to play in some other Euro events that are being taped for TV over there until the 15th and will be busy with those. Maybe they couldn't find three more players willing to step up to the plate' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:2009 Aruba Classic online coverage? I believe Court will be there for P5s Live. Since he just wrapped up WSOPE I would just give him a day or two to get registration info up if you guys are playing and looking to get covered. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Kentucky Players I can get on Bodog as well, but I have to admit I haven't tried any sites outside of the ones you've already listed. Hopefully when the KY Supreme Court hears the domain seizures case they will decide that Gov. Beshear is off his rocker and everything will be open to us again though. Fingers crossed! Re:Borgata Open Women's Event - MAN Playing! As someone who has played their fair share of ladies events I can't help but chime in and say that there are several reasons why I play them, very few of which have anything to do with feeling special and/or inferior as a result of my gender. I, and many of my other poker playing femal friends, mostly enjoy playing in a casino without having to be sexually accosted by some of the creepers I encounter when I play cash and other tournaments. I certainly enjoy playing in mixed company as well, but it is nice to have a day every once in a while where you don't have to be bothered with ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Holleywood casino, indiana I haven't played any of the dailies, but I've been told there is one with a decent guarantee ($15K maybe') on Sundays and has a $200 or $300 buy-in. You may want to check their website to make sure though. The room is nice and the action is good at the moment, but several of the dealers are still new so the cash games I played in ran very slowly and had a number of dealer errors that slowed the game down even further. I don't think it was just me either...several other ppl I talked to agreed that the quality of the dealers was a big problem Posted in: Poker Discussion |
