Official Poker Rankings "Estimated R/A Expenses" filter
When filter is off, then it just uses the base buyin as the buyin. So for a 3r they say that the buyin was $3, lol When the filter is on, then it takes the Total Prizepool / Total Entrants. That gives you the average buyin per entrant, which is a much better estimation.

I don't think that is up to the DOJ to determine. Entry will be decided by the regulating body that regulates legal online poker in the USA. It may also be written into the bills that pass congress, and the DOJ definitely doesn't have the ability to add text to bills in progress. Edit: I guess what they are saying is that the true/audited ownership would change enough that no one could consider FTP1 = FTP2 even if they are using the same Brand Name. In the early days 03-07, how soft were mtt's?
The big Sunday tournament on party, which was the big site back then, was 250k, and went up to 350k I think. They had a Saturday tournament that was about 50k under it all the time. This was basically the SM of that day, so adjust everything else accordingly.

Will Pokerstars and Full Tilt return to the U.S. ?
There is a Harah's in StL and several other casinos too. Most of the legislation that I have seen won't let states with land based casinos opt out, although I am not completely sure about HR2366. I would highly doubt that MO would opt out if given the opportunity.

If it is based on winnings or profit, we know that won't really work, or at least won't be accurate. It would take hundreds of thousands of hands to converge on an accurate rating. I am not completely against it as there are already things like it out there if you just do a little research, its not that hard to find. But I don't think it will do what they want it to do, and its going to be very inaccurate. I would imagine the HU players will HATE it. You would rather him say, "Well, you lose the money you put in the pot"' In many cases, that is what happens, and to give a full answer even if you know exactly what happens off the top of your head, it would take much longer than the 30 seconds that the Chairwoman allowed him to respond. There are a lot of variables that go into what happens when you disconnect.

I am pretty sure the credit card companies are actually the ones that push for this. I would imagine gambling debt on credit would be the most risk a credit card company could have.

ya but you can go to pretty much any ATM and get a cash advance off your credit card and deposit that in your checking account and use those funds... I also know that Walgreens used to let me buy prepaid visa cards with my Mastercard credit card and American Express.

This thread reminds me of why I have stayed away from P5s for the most part over the last couple years. The tone of the cereus discussion thread on four concerning this happening is sooo completely opposite of this thread, and Casey's replies there actually seem sincere. When someone wants to start a serious discussion about things they see going on it all turns into mudslinging, name calling and trolling. Seems like everyone here just wants to be part of the "Kool Kid Klub" and not really discuss these issues that have been affecting us the past few weeks.

no he didn't, you didn't watch the hands, there was no flop. No flop = no rake I do agree with you about the Administration and DOJ, and I assure you that I have done everything that you have suggested and I am continuing to do so. While I am not a huge backer like these guys, I have been backing players and buying shares of players for several years now, and I too am in much the same predicament with mid-five figures locked up right now between UB and FTP.

We don't know that BDP5s even bought the funds. Is he buying them to hold for when UB/AP processes cashouts' Does he have preferential cashouts and can get 100% of the money off today' We don't know any of these things, and it really isn't our business, but it does LOOK shady.

Advice for U.S Players with a Role!
Actually by the time you pay the pips on the Forex its actually more of a negative-sum game. That being said with experience you can definitely make money trading FOREX right now, especially considering how the USD has been weakening lately. It takes a lot of time to figure it out, and I def agree with another poster that said that it will make the swings of NLHE seem negligible. If you are going to do this, get set up with a mock account, spend a good bit of time working out your strategies, learn how to analyze graphs. I was talking about FTP tho. And obviously I am just speculating, but I have been following this very closely across several different forums over the past week, and just summarizing what I have seen and making some logical assumptions from the personal accounts i have read.

Is Full Tilt blocking all US-created accounts?
Pretty much any network administrator that is worth anything can identify connections through VPN's. I wouldn't be surprised if they are blocking all VPN connections. I have also heard of people that were legit living in other countries being blocked recently. I think this has to do with the fact that their account was created in the USA. I would guess if you have ever had your address listed as USA you are going to be blocked. It might be the same if you have ever connected to the client from within the USA.

I am a bit more concerned with what I am going to do with all my Full Tilt Points when things settle down. I spent all my FPPs on cash bonuses, but FTPs you have to clear so those bonuses are clearly worthless. Hopefully FTP offers a cash option on the FTPs in our account.

1K MET being cancelled and forced to chop 3 handed
The fact that it was a 1k shouldn't have any bearing on whether or not it was handled properly by FTP. FTP should have made all entrants aware of the time of the server reset, and if it was known before the the tourney started it should have been published on the tourney page what time it would take place and that a chop would be done at that point. Was this a regularly scheduled reset or was it an emergency scheduled reset'
