Re:getting new laptop-- need advice
Man, it would've been way more exciting to report on you for P5slive if you'd had any computer components at the WSOP events. I would've had to switch my camera settings to super fast shutter speeds for sports photography. Is that like.. street poker' Just don't throw the bracelet, kiddo. *grin*

Re:Thank you P5s Live
Hey -- it's Jill, the other one you forgot. LOL. It's all good since it took me awhile to get on the Wretchy train. You rule, dude. It was a total blast covering everyone and I'm sad to have left Vegas, but I'll definitely be coming out to the upcoming East Coast events! -j

BertMinatti Takes Down WSOP Media Tournament
PocketFives' own BertMinatti just took down the WSOP Media Event today, beating Paul Spitzberg heads up at the final table. He peeked at pocket aces on the last hand and the rest is history. He wins 5K for the charity of his choice, the Wounded Warriors Project, and apparently a hilariously-large trophy. Bert FTW! Party tonight, ppl!

Re:My $1500 bustout hand is pretty badly misreported
By the way -- a big thank you to calling this out. We want to get it right, and it's especially tough to condense all the info we get in these huge events. If anyone ever sees something weird reported on P5sLive, definitely let us know!

Re:My $1500 bustout hand is pretty badly misreported
Rizen - I'm quite sorry if I misreported the hand; I looked back at my notes and now see where I incorrectly switched my shorthand. Entirely sorry -- I really enjoy watching you and you're the classiest guy at the table. Fixing it now. :) -jh

Re:Pocket fives coverage at wsop
For the record, THANK YOU too, Craig! It is equally awesome to get to watch such talented players every day. Though I know journalistic integrity relies on impartiality, I don't think any of us can help but cheer you on. It's becoming more and more commonplace for the PokerNews or PokerListings people to come to the P5sLive crew in the media room to ask who players are; they're finally standing up and taking notice of how sick our online players are. Keep up the awesome work and like Jess said, keep sending us your updates! -Jill

Wicked job!
It was a pleasure watching/photographing Sowers play over the last couple of days; he totally out-classed so many of the people at his tables. Great job, Mike! (For the record, Court told me to keep an eye on you from the first hour of play!)

Re(1): this is so sad
The situation in Haiti is abysmal -- it's so sad because it's only 90 miles from Cuba, which has first-rate health care and first-world conditions, but Haiti has just been wasting away for the last hundred years. How can they even revolt if they can't eat' I just finished reading a book about Haiti called "Mountains Beyond Mountains" which details the life of Dr. Paul Farmer, a Harvard-trained doctor who founds an organization called Zanmi Lasante to serve the health needs of the central plateau on the island. Stateside, it's better known as "Partners in Health" -- or as the organization to ...
