Correct shove in my first deep run? am I the only one who thinks the reshove on the flop is just awful, especially with the given stack sizes...It's like ur just shoving praying he doesn't have his queen yet ur just guessing urself in this spot and not fully comfortable... 18 left, is this the right play? I guess what I'm trying to say is that the call with 8's makes more sense when your the one thats desperate to stack up and build when your under lets say 20 BB's, then risking it here in this spot as your still in decent shape... Just my opinion so far from what I gathered, but I'm always looking to improve and would like some others opinions on this as well... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

I guess from the mixed responses this can go either way, as it's pretty much an assumed flip and it's just a preference if your willing to take that risk for a majority of your chips. Truthfully, at this point I'm not sure if I make this play again in this spot knowing I can secure myself in more favorable spots moving forward into the final table. I don't know it seems like a tough one as some say it's a standard call, but then your pretty much crippled 47% of the time it doesn't pan out... as it's pretty much a flip.... 18 left, is this the right play? No, I wouldn't do it early in the tournament. I did it at the moment because I thought it would be a good opportunity to be one of the chip leads if it panned out, and it was one of those in the moment decisions where I felt confident about it... But talking to several people and hearing some of these responses, I probably wouldn't make this play again calling off most of my stack like that, and wait for a better spot to come along. I ended up busting in 16th shortly after, but at the moment my thoughts were on playing to win.
