Re(5): Interesting Omaha hand....What hand has he put me on here to call? Bad choice of words on my part... Guess that's the one consistent thing about poker, not every player plays the same and there are almost as many different styles as there are players. It's always good to get a few different viewpoints on a hand, I think it helps just about anyone who reads the post.. I can agree on one thing, the call of the allin is just horrible...lol Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): I'm Lost here.... Holdm, when I went back and reviewed the hand the only little thing that bothered me a little was the 1000 chip bet. I know what I was thinking at the time which was I wanted a call with a smaller PP or Ak AQ KQ that I thought UTG might have....then with 67 called I had a sick feeling in my stomache. Luckily even at UTG+1 I was last to act and made a pretty easy fold. Thanks for the input Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): I'm Lost here.... Thanks for the input. I guess the JQ is getting decent odds after the 67 makes the loose...little frustrating to wakeup with and hand and have to fold it...but at least i made the right play on the flop Posted in: Poker Discussion |

I'm Lost here.... I guess this is a prime example as to why I am not much more than a break even player. I do not understand the QJ mini raise and then call nor the 67 call preflop... Thanks for any input to help me grasp this... Re(15): ActionJeff too good? I guess we'll disagree. I know i thought a lot of the homework and class assingments I had I thought were stupid or below me. What I found out much later is the actual homework and assignments are not important but the act of doing them is. Before you can learn, you have to learn how to learn. I'm just an engineer so I can't put what I want to say in words the way i want and for that I apologize. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(14): ActionJeff too good? Look, anyone with experience and some years on them (i.e. old farts like me) can tell you that you need balance. I'm sure AJ can find a way to work it all in and make a name for himself in everything he does. And yes, sometimes doing your homework (or work or playing with your kids) is more important in life than playing a 1K SnG online. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(12): ActionJeff too good? First, an advanced education is rarely if ever a bad thing. Second, I rather doubt Action Jeff made more than 98% of college graduates last year. I realize this a shock to a lot of the younger guys on here, but there is more to life than poker. A lot of them could follow the lead of GP who is a hell of a poker player and realizes that there is more and he is doing everything he can to stay on that path... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
