both of you stop crying. i think it is a standard flat call by acenason with his 99. this isn't costing him a huge portion of his stack. he can see if he hits the flop and get out if he doesn't. he does know that if he hits his 9 you will stack him. easy call by him. as for the first hand (33 vs 99) it's not a bad call at all especially after Russian validated his thoughts by saying he thought it was a coin flip situation, plus if he loses he is still in good shape with his remaining stack, after losing that hand he would still have more chips than 3-4 other players. also, by having Cortz ...

Pumpkin, i met a guy a couple of years ago in a golf shop (can't remember his name, not really important though) who did national long drive comps. He said that he has special shoes made for him (for stiffness/grip) and broke shafts all the time. i would lay this down. The OP didn't have too much invested when the all in happened. There is no need to risk your entire stack at this point. you only need to finish in the top 8, CL at the end gets the same as #8, correct' wait for a better time. apparently you had a good read on the table to be 2nd in chips, wait and build piece by piece. unlucky result though. i can't really fault your play, just a crappy ending :(
