Re(4): a dream situation...gone wrong! Dream situation would be a full table of guys who always called your bets and then folded the river or turn all the time. My dream situation does NOT involve a bunch of guys who never fold because then my cards have to win. It might be +ev to play in the game, but it isnt my dream situation. And no matter what, you have to lose sometimes. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

While this has nothing to do with the arguement going on here, it's important to note....because someone who collects dragons can't possible be good at poker. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(7): Who is the real JJprodigy? "I have empathy though, just no empathy for morons." This is what I'm getting at. It is true that how you treat your inferiors says a lot about you. I think talking about homeless people is an extreme case and I certainly don't give many of them money. HOWEVER, is your quote from above your same view with poker' Do you believe that because 99% of the players are worse than you they are morons, and thus it's okay to cheat them out of money' That's the vibe I'm getting from you guys as you talk about JJ Prodigy and his multi-accounting and not only is the actual act wrong, but helping him and ... Re(3): Who is the real JJprodigy? Wow, the hundred dollar bill getting ripped up in front of a homeless guy is an interesting thread.....definitely very revealing. By the way, in regards to your friends comment that you don't have a soul: he is wrong about that. What it is that you are lacking is EMPATHY. You can blame your age, or we can all blame your age, but that carries with it the assumption that you will change one day. That is not a gaurantee, as some scumbags stay scumbags forever. For the time being you appear to just be a very immature 18 year old with some money. You can always change that though Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Who is the real JJprodigy? I suppose that I don't understand it because you aren't acting like its something you regret. You're going to respond to this by saying, "I don't regret it." Which is understandable to a certain degree because we're talking about your livelihood. However, if you actually care what people think about you and want to put all of it behind you then you shouldn't try to act so defiant about it. You post on here like you have done nothing wrong and it comes off very badly. I never post on here about anything but it made me want to speak up, now just imagine how people that are intimately involved ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(5): Who is the real JJprodigy? lol at YTIU's last post....i think everyone is aware of the "thing called bias". However, a bias is generally frowned upon when it comes to ethics, law etc. You can back up your good friends and your business partners, but when they are doing something that is considered wrong by most people, you shouldn't be backing them up publicly. You act as if your friendship/mentorship with JJ will be considered anything more than further evidence that you helped the kid get new accounts to play on. It is surprising that you don't realize that this is not only wrong to do, but also don't realize that ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): YTIU, Mantis, JJprodigy I think reading this thread is much more enlightening than reading the thread about JJ Prodigy. Basically the OP is claiming that he knows the owner of an account who let a friend of Mantis and YTIU play on it. And the results were so sick that it is very possible that JJ was playing it. Then there are the endless implications that stem from that. Interesting stuff, and I sincerely hope this isn't ignored. Ever since I started reading this forum again last month all I've seen is endless posts by YTIU calling people out and being very rude as well.....not very surprising to see he may not hold ... Re(2): YTIU, Mantis, JJprodigy Anyone acting like this isn't a huge deal needs to get their morals in line. This is hands down some of the most interesting and shocking reading I've down in a while about poker. The fact that people who are even mildly respected in the community are a part of this is disgusting. What I find most interesting is that so many other well known players seem to be so aware of the situation. For well over a month now this has (and other situations like it) been being hinted at by actionjeff and other top players. For example, what does yellowsubs post on the first page mean' He just types in the ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

They offer the service for people who can't be at a computer for the registration period, not for guys who play so many tourneys that they can't be bothered to register for more of them. Re(3): strange rumor/gossip about Phil Laak Upon reading that entire website I still think the story is great, but I don't really believe it fully either. It just seems laughable when the guy starts in about how Phil helped to worsen his wife's MS. Still interesting though. I also don't think that it's all that strange to pay your way out of that kind of an accident in a foreign country. The guy never says what happened to the kids, and I have to assume that they didn't die because that would only strengthen his arguement (that Laak is scumbag, lol). Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Who needs cardrunners when you have.... If you don't get that this is a joke within a minute or two then you either don't know anything about poker, or even more likely, you just have a really basic sense of humor. Which makes you a boring person. And as far as this guy being a future threat to society....the guy who said that is even worse than a boring person. Was Scotty drunk? So Scotty is obviously drunk in his bust out interview....Not sure if anyone has posted this yet. I absolutely love listening to this guy talk about "being Scotty Nguyen" and then ending the interview with, "I'm going to go home and play with my monkey, and look at my sunflowers". So god damn good it would be hard for it to get better. / Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): $50k Horse, Phil Hellmuth.... must be nice I'm a teacher and you're an idiot. People can mention spelling errors if they feel like it, regardless of occupation. Not to mention the fact that he was merely saying that most people incorrectly spell it looses. I like to bring up the fact that no one can spell ridiculous, because it annoys me that well over 50% of the population can't spell it correctly. Should I gtfo out as well' You little boys are so rude around here sometimes. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Odds on Annie Duke If I had been there while you and your friends were having this conversation I would have pointed out that Phil has already proven his ability to go deep in these huge fields and also to win in them (bracelet 10 for example). The fact that the fields are huge does change things, but the guy plays over 30 wsop tourneys a year, so he has a good chance to win a bracelet every year. Thats not to say he will, just that his odds are probably 5-1 or so. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Scammer Alert So my boy critter04 just moved into my apartment for the summer and I wanted to warn you guys about a scammer he ran into last week. Some donkfish comes to his table and asks if anyone wants to sell play money. Critter04 was a total ledge (legend) back in his play money days and used to roll peeps for millions of play chips an hour. So the kids got stacks of the play monies on his account....Anyways, Crit says yeah and the guys says he'll pay 15 bucks for a straight up mill (I know, kid is baller obv.) Crit tells him he will ship a quarter mill for 3 bucks to see if the guy is legit or not. ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Did I play this hand well, or was I a donk? After the ace is out its fine, I guess, although you basically are just scared of the ace and calling the small bets he makes. Its really the preflop stuff that is interesting. The guy makes it 6x pre, what hands is he doing that with' He will NEVER do this wtih AA, or more accurately, very few people ever will. That type of raise is usually QQ and JJ, or an even smaller pair. They do that because they are afraid of an ace popping. You reraise him and he either calls, then check folds, or he shoves, which is even better. With the way you played it, if an ace flops, you have a ton of hard ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): In good chip position, gamble with AQ? Thought I'd check back in on this, because I was hoping someone said some points about not shoving. I really don't think you're deep enough to just standard raise. The only arguement against pushing is that you're pretty much going to always win the 10% of your stack pot. So, if you want more than that out of the hand, there is only one way to do so. In this position, with your stack being decent, I think I'd rather just keep taking blinds than have a huge confrontation on the final table bubble. I actually wish I could come up with some reasons to not push. Anyone' I used to frown on playing ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): In good chip position, gamble with AQ? You have an M of 10, which isn't a bad thing, but the problem is that before you make this raise, you pretty much have to know you'll be calling this guys raise. Right' I wasn't at the table, but you made the call here, so it's obvious that you felt you were ahead. Yes you got unlucky, but you're leaving out the fact that had you shoved and picked up the pot, you would have increased your stack by 10%. Both of the replys are correct in saying that this was an easy call, but more important is that it's an acceptable place to shove. And unless the guy is very loose, or your image is one of a ... Re(5): WPT, Daniel's call with AK Isn't it possible that Daniel does this just to convince himself to call' Maybe, just maybe, he is doing it for himself and not the T.V.
