legalization/regulation is coming
Don't hold your breath boys, the US congress would have to pass a law on regulation, not very likely. lol at all the clowns who thought Obama and his boy Eric Holder would be good for online poker.

full tilt, really?
None of your damn business why I e-mail support, only you have issues that are worthy of support help' I call bs on this, under an hour' Wow sounds like you work for ftp. But you are right, me and all the other losing players should quit playing instead of paying ftp $1500 a month in rake like I am now. They have a license to print money and you make it sound like we should all feel sorry for Howard and Ivey. I am gonna laugh if the feds bring it all down, then ftp will walk with anything that is left. Obviously it is not ftps fault if the government busts their processors, but to suggest ...

full tilt, really?
FTP spends millions per year on withdrawls, really' Where did you get that info' Is that why it takes a week to get an e-mail response from support' WTF they have the worst support in the business. I think what you meant to say was they make millions a day in rake from us idiots and are too busy counting it and shipping it to Lederer/Ivey/Gus to worry about support and cashouts for us donks, especially considering no matter how bad their support is we all keep donating millions to them.

PStars Negative Balance & Deposit Issues
Have fun dealing with stars after you go negative, they will want copies of bank statements, drivers license and utility bills. They are good at making customers not want to play any more.

No, I just blame them for asking for a bank statement for an account I will never use to make any transaction with stars.

Stars requires bank statement?
thanks for your comments, someome on here has some sense. OK, I cashed out a few days ago on ftp with echecks, took exactly 3 days for the money to hit my account, no id, license or bank statements requested. Others may be having problems, but mine flies through. You say this is standard procedure, but I find that it is only proceure for stars, my transactions on FT go thru like clockwork. I am not refusing to pay them, I am refusing to provide them with information for a bank account that I have never used on stars and never will. Would you please answer me why I should provide them with ...

Stars requires bank statement?
What you are missing is that the original bank info is not given on an unsecure line, but is given to the processor on an https connection. Now they want account information for my new account (that I am not even going to use with stars), and they want me to send it to support on an unsecure connection. Why would I ever use echecks again with stars, all that is likely to happen is another bank would close my account. And why would I want them to know about my new account that I want them as far away from as possible'

Stars requires bank statement?
You have no idea what you are talking about, I have made 12 echecks cashouts on FT, and they never asked for ID, bank statements or anything else. If you had a clue you would realize they do not need the bank statement to verify my id. My bank had no problems with the echecks until stars decided to identify them with "Pstars". Now I should give them my bank statement for my new bank when I am not even going to do any echecks transactions with them' Makes alot of sense Sherlock. [response to flaming removed]

Stars requires bank statement?
I had ZERO issues with deposits in the past, why are you making moronic assumptions' I am happy to verify my id and pay back what I owe, but they are not getting any bank statements. If stars doesn't miss my $1500 a month rake good. If FT wants a bank statement, then yes I will quit there too. If they make it this hard, how many casual players like me do you think will play' I can play live without all these hassles. You all put up with this bs from stars like they were the customers. Pros like you need amateurs like me, and obviously stars needs customers to pay rake. And I have Zero ...

Stars requires bank statement?
[flaming removed] They are requiring a bank statement for any method of deposit, including western union or credit card. And no, they do not win. I am the customer and do not need stars. I can play at other sites, none of which have asked me for utility bills, bank statements or drivers license. Stars can kiss my azz, they wanna act like this, good luck collecting my negative balance. No stars takes active measures to make it clear to US banks that the transactions are from poker sites. Then when they create this mess they want to punish me, they can go to you know where.

Stars requires bank statement?
No it is not, I am happy to provide personal details about myself, including details about my method of payment, but no way in hell am I going to send my bank statements over a non-secure connection to their support department. It is one thing to give bank and routing number over an https connection to a processor, quite another to send bank statements over a non secure http connection where a bunch of support people have access to it.

Stars requires bank statement?
No, the bank thinks it's illegal under the UIGEA. And they think they would be doing something illegal for letting the transactions thru. Really, you want your bank statement floating around a bunch of punks working in support, the heck with that.

Stars requires bank statement?
So I was doing echecks transactions with stars, my bank involuntarily closed my account, bounced the echecks transactions and all my pending checks, tells me I am doing illegal transactions with "pstars", so I have to get a new bank, and have a negative balance on stars. So to get "re-instated" by stars, I have to provide them with copies of my drivers license, bank statement for my new bank, utility bills and sign all kinds of forms just to have the privelege of repaying the negative balance and paying them thousands in rake' These idiots insist on identifying the transactions with "Pstars" ...

Doom Switch
I have been running awful taking a series of 2 or even 1 outers for what seems like months, but my game (as mediocre as it apparently is) has likely deteriorated as well. So I write to ftp asking them to turn off the doom switch in a joking manner, and attach 4 hhs of the two outers. They surprisingly send me a nice response explaining there is no doom switch, and why it would not be profitable to have one. But I immediately min cash 2 tourneys and 5th a 24+2 for $2500+, maybe they did turn off the switch.

Tax: gambling losses/winnings question
A real basic point to remember is that is you play for a living, the rules are different than if you have another job and are not a professional gambler. Much worse rules if not a professional, such as no deductions for expenses, and winnings per session are income while losses must be itemized on schedule A, which really screws you if you make enough income that your itemized deductions start to be limited. This can actually result in you losing for the year and owing a tax bill anyway. If you are a professional, your winnings for the year (still must keep track by session) are balanced ...

Final table push, call or raise?
OK, so if you want the chips in, is a shove to 650,000 not better than raise to 160,000 or so' If he has AJ type hands, he will likely at least call the 160,000.
