Re(2): p5 staff RULES I believe this is the only decision that the P5 staff could make to protect the integrity of the rankings and the site itself and I commend them for making such a difficult decision. I also commend them for willing to give JJ a second chance by not making the ban permanent. Based on his previous track record (before the Party 500K) I believe he is worthy of at least that much. - Joker Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Need some ideas guys If Tigger had 7-10 of diamonds ok that's a fair point. Q-10 (unlikely given Triple P's hand) then mehhhhh. What I dont like is that if he did have a draw you and Triple P in a way let him get there. The only draw worth calling (maybe even pushing) in that spot is 7-10 of diamonds...7-10o borderline call strictly because of the pot odds you both gave Tigger on the flop. I still believe you have to give the initial raiser a chance to bet at the flop for a CR. Going through it again the way it went down Triple P played it bad as well because after the bet you made he almost has to raise to ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): AA everytime... Ok it's weird yes but I think it makes sense somewhat. If there is an answer assuming I win 3 AA all-in's in a row vs a random hand I quit right there. If hypothetically each time I'm 4-1 favorite (or 80%) it goes something like this I think. 8/10 X 8/10 = 64/100 (64% favorite to win 2 AA all-ins in a row) 8/10 X 8/10 X 8/10 = 512/1000 (51.2% favorite to win 3 AA all-ins in a row) After that the % decreases against me. So in that realm of the land-of-make-believe fairy tales I'm in this spot give me 3 shots at Bill Gates dude :) - Joker Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Need some ideas guys Horrible fold...very questionable flop play. I don't like a blocking bet in this spot. I much prefer a CR. and not a gay min CR either. Give the initial raiser a chance to make a CB. If it goes check, check, check then I would make a bet and see what happens from there. You flopped a great hand and never gave yourself a chance to make something of it. Now onto the way you actually played the hand after you bet the flop you HAVE to bet the turn. In fact if it was me usually I would try to get it all in on the flop. Still though you have to represent the hand you have and not play weak. Be ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Lay this down? It's Soupie so yeah it's a so an insta-call...besides the fact that you have him out-stacked 3-1, and you have QQ, and the only thing you should be worried about is AA or KK (which he could have although I'd give him a wider range of hands). - Joker Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Ultimate Bets Selective Elimination System A quick story if I may... Last year I played in the last satalite for a WSOP main event seat on UB. Towards the end of the first hour I got moved to Sailor Lobell's table with about 6K in chips. I wind up busting out when my 1010 couldn't hold vs AJ. In either case I was pissed but I didn't close the screen right away and the next hand that followed was Sailor Lobell all-in w/ AK vs another AK who he just had barely covered. he loses the hand when the other AK completes his flush on the turn and Sailor gets crippled to about 450 in chips. About an hour passes and I'm still at work :) and I ... Posted in: Bad Beats |

Re(5): bumping a good idea for P5s This would be great for P5ers to participate in, however we have to get one of the 4 horsemen to moderate to get some sort of order to the process. Also would adding a poll at each stage of a hand be a good idea to maybe tweek up the current format. - Joker Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): How would you play this? AQo on the button...CO raised 3.5xBB Tough hand to lose. You did your job...you got all the money in with the best hand. He had outs...good call on his part as well....even if you had a set. Only way I see you not losing the hand is AI Re-Raise Pre Flop...he'd have to be in a real gambling mood to call that bet. Fold on the flop no way (what are you playing it for if you won't even challenge the raiser at some point in the hand) Call no. Raise is your only, and best, option. - Joker Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): how would u guys play this? In mid to late stages I would about 70% of the time check with the intent of CR All-In. I would also perfer to have at least one heart in my hand to make this play but since you don't so be it. On the bubble I would really consider making this play to instill fear in the other player, while adding to my fold equity, but that's just how I'd play it. The other 30% I would make a CB with my draw and take it from there. There is no reason why you should'nt be seeing at least one more card in this hand. - Joker Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): fold aces on river here? Clear fold. Also once the 3rd heart hits I wouldn't even bother with a bet. I would just hope it goes check check. My guess is he had 56 (no hearts). - Joker Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): How would you play this? AQo on the button...CO raised 3.5xBB There's nothing wrong with calling either since you have position and see if you can play some pokah. Raise is goot as well however what do you do if he goes OTT all-in. In that senario you would be getting just about 2.5-1 on your remaining stack (assuming you reraised to about 500-550 like jay said). So calling it off is only bad vs AA and KK and only marginally bad vs AK or QQ. Bottom line IMHO with your stack, this early on in an SnG, I'd lean more towards a call, use your positional advantage, add up all factors, and see if I can take it on the flop. - Joker Posted in: Poker Discussion |
