You get your first card, and whatever it is, the chances of getting the same one 3 more times is 3/51 * 2/50 * 1/49 or 1 in 20,825. You can think of it like the first guy did, but you would then need to multiply by 13 since there are 13 different cards you can accomplish that feat with.

Well, it was a very tough call to make, but given your aggressiveness and desire to get first, I don't know how you could fold. If you fold, in most instances, you will now have a chip disadvantage, but comfortably in 2nd. If you're fairly certain you're not up against an overpair, then you win the tourney a good percentage of the time on this hand, and when you don't win the hand, you still get 2nd (most of the time). This time they had the same hand, which was good til you saw the flop, then it was bad. In hindsight, you win the tourney 65% of the time on this hand. I don't think you can be ...

Well, I'm kind of a donkey when it comes to cash games or poker in general, but I think it is definitely a loose call after he makes it $31. Looking at the stacks, I guess you could argue about implied odds, but I hate calling and praying with two outs. If it was a higher pocket pair then maybe you would be able to call and evaluate the flop and still win sometimes without a set. Also, I find it annoying when someone has to take the time to type in their comment before they call the all-iin.
