Re:How bad did I misplay AA here? Amazingly the An A or 9 is the worst card on the turn but at least you have 10 outs on the river. Sucky board Posted in: Bad Beats |

limit help I joined cardrunners and I like the videos very much. I am not sure if I am running bad, or playing poorly. A one on one instructor would be ideal for me and I like to play $1-$2 and $2- $4 live. The past few months have been difficult and since none of my friends play cards I need someone to discuss strategy and put me in the right direction Posted in: Poker Discussion |

I am finally retired from online poker This will be my last post on 55's. You can write what you want but won't get a response since I am not logging on to read it, so just don't respond. I am so happy that the negative variance is poker is so widespread. I am going to save so much time but not dealing with poker sites stealing money. The random number generator is so much crap and I have never believed it but something is wrong. I have seen this happen to others and they wised up and stopped depositing on these sites. I am doing the same. I play a good game and have been told I am just unlucky. I don't believe it since how could ... Posted in: Bad Beats |

Re(1): What do you figure I'm up against? I think you are up against a bad player with a strong hand and I would have called his re-raise for $1.50 to see if you fill up and invest nothing more. The 2's seem most likely since you have 6-7 but lets not rule out an overpair but the only overpair is see is 8's or 9's. Your opponent didn't maximize his hand since his actions were obvious. Re(1): Down to 5 handed, SnG critical play Why raise with this with 4 people in back of you. This happens to be my good luck hand and even though I hate limping, 200 chips is worth it for a cheap flop. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Advice on a hand with Queens This hand was played terribly by your over aggressive opponent and i stay away from opponents who play like this unless I have a very strong hand. I fold PF since the odds of improving are unlikely and you see the type of opponent you are up agsinst. A-K, AA, KK, JJ are all possibilities. What if you are set mining with 2's or 3's. I don't like the all in push but if the flop was 9, J ,6 then the push is better. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Middle stages of the 22r last night...how do you play this hand...? If the others at the table think of you as a tight player I fold this hand. What do you do if you get top pair' This hand is good only if you get two pair or better. You could be dominated. I would play KQ or better. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Bad spot with top set This hand was played terribly. Sorry for the criticism. The flop has to be a pot sized bet if someone is drawing on you which is most likely. The turn needs to be checked once the straight is definately a possibility and the river is correctly folded. The only hand you have beat is k10 and I doubt he has that. A-K or A-Q are the most likely holdings but A-10 could be there also. I think he had A-Q Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): For Jennifear or other SNG specialists Is the payout structure 2/3 for 1st and 1/3 for second' Assuming that $100 buyin each and $800 in rebuys for a total of $1600($1072 for first and $528 for second), the BB has before posting the blinds 6200/16300=.38% for $608 equity in the winnings and if he makes the call and wins has 60% of the chips or $961 equity but if he loses has 15% or $255 equity not including the blinds of 200/400. Since the blinds are so small I have a hard time calling off 23% of the total chips but 3 handed any A looks good. I think this hand has to be let go here by your opponent but why are you pushing when you ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Day 3 of 14: Feeling a bit more comfortable that is a lot of sng's in one day. How many hours are you playing and shouldn't you take a day off every day or two for each long day you play. I suck at the sng's but the good news for me is I have a very successful business and since I can't earn $600+ a day playing I can't be a pro. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Can i ever run good in ten dollar rebuy? What's the problem' This happens to me the entire month of april-I lose most of my bankroll and nobody gives a crap. Shit happens and move on just like me. I have learned I can make far more $ working than playing online getting outdrawn so I limit the amount of time I play. Anyway this isn't a bad beat, since your opponent has a legitimate hand. Just remember you aren't alone. Posted in: Bad Beats |

advice please I appreciate anyone out there who can offer me advice. My ongoing problem have been my negative variance where I have the monster hands, which are raised of course only to get a loose call to beat me when all the $ is in on the flop or before. This hardly ever happens early in the sit n go's for me as I have been getting mediocre hands just trying to play hands in position and scoop up as many chips as possible. I have been getting occasionally lucky with suited connectors where I get 2 pair, I raise the flop and the river pairs the board, not my card on the turn or river and I try to ... Re(1): "keeping the pot small" I am curious what hand you had your opponent on. A-J is very tricky to play when an A flops. I like the fact you weren't going broke here but what % do you think you are beat here. Great call at the end Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Set to Huge Draw, Right Odds to Call? This is a tough break for you. He has 15 outs and I am shocked he re-raised you back after the re-raise there. I go broke as well and his call is justified since half his $ is in already. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Too aggressive with ATo? I would probably call him here and wait for the flop. Since you have position and this is 1/5 of your stack this seems like the right thing to do. If An A flops or the flop comes 3 unders I would make my move if he checks to you. ATo is at best 3-2 favorite over 2 unsuited cards unless he has A small but since he is rasing a lot that seems unlikely. The best way to handle aggesssion is to play position and hit you hand and knock him out. Without position I let the hand go. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Sit and Go.. Push okay here.. I personally don't like the shove here since this is the kind of hand to play multi-way and not against one player-the chip leader. Also by shoving you lose your position on the hand. I would love to see a cheap flop but you will get re-raised by the BB. I know the blinds are coming around but I think you can play a better hand in the next 4-5 hands. I know people will disagree with me but I believe the top 3 get paid so I would wait another round. Re(1): whole buy in first two hands wtf Eddie You need to bet at this flop first. You have a full house but anyone calling will have a J or a pair which is better than yours. At best your opponent would have a four outer with 2 pair. I don't believe this hand makes it to the river if you bet out first. The river is a cooler and you finally got your money in on the turn. Re(1): So THIS is why ive lost 40% of my BR I am amazed that after two raises your opponent went all in with A-K. I am shocked that he has the balls to do that. I have lots more pots with KK then anything else. You win only against JJ and QQ but lose to even a shitty Ace. Posted in: Bad Beats |

Re(1): he said "PLEASE CALL" I know you won but why are you slow playing this hand. The only hands that are going to give you action are 2 pair or better, a straight draw or a flush draw. I know you have the nuts now but this is still a vulnerable hand. You are lucky your opponent had the 2nd nuts. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): JJ in bb? You can't limp in with this ever. This needs to be raised and if you are called he folds to your continuation bet. Why bet the turn when this is a bad card for you and your opponent called a re-raise from you on the flop. You slow down on the river and your opponent is happy not to play a bigger pot. By limping your opponent might have put you on a hand like KQ-JQ-K10 Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): early in $10 tourney the flop needs to be raised since you have the ultimate draw, but you will get raised anyway. The turn needs to be called and not raised and with the river you're going broke anyway. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): 9 9 played wrong? I can answer the question better if I know how many people are left. Assuming this is the final table, I don't make the call since you are in pretty good shape but if there are say 2-3 tables going this has to be an all in move and you're racing.
