Re:attn: Engineer - december 1st question How are state laws applied' For example, if your "permanent residence" is listed in a state that has a negative stance on on-line poker but you attend school in a state that hasn't taken a stance either way, which laws will affect you' I have lived/worked and paid state taxes in a state that hasn't taken a stance and have done all my banking here for 4+ years but to receive financial aid for school I have had to use my parents address as my permanent address. Re:BCS...would this be better? Unless Fox decides to pay the BCS the money they want to keep the games ABC/ESPN is going to buy full rights to the games which will pretty much insure that the current BCS system is here to stay and as of this morning they were not going to match the offer. Re:A Simple Explanation: What Bush Is Doing Now re: UIGEA, The Difference Between Legislation and Regulation This legislation seems very vague to me, seems like it just blankets a wide variety of industries and leaves a huge gray area. I'm sure there are a lot of people out there who are very familiar with legal action and love to find loopholes in situations like this. I'm pretty confident that in time they will find a way around this unless the legislation is changed to also make it illegal for U.S. players to ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Scotty Nyugen - a different opinion Was Scotty out of line' 100 Percent. An embarrassment to true poker players' Absolutely. However, this is the kind of behavior that American TV thrives on. ESPN knew exactly what they were doing when they aired those sections of the final table. If they wanted to create positive exposure for the game why not include some of the other players from the final table, Barry Greenstein for example, who is unquestionably a very talented player and also a very active political advocate for the game. The problem is in order to sell the game they have to air this kind of behavior in order to draw in ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): This is why my ROI isnt thru the roof on pokerstars.... A couple things that might change this outcome. 1) If you truly feel that you are the better player, you might try playing a wider variety of hands. If he is willing to let you see the flop for an extra 75 with what most would consider a weak/marginal hand, you should play the hand. If you are the better player, you should be confident that you can outplay him after the flop and this is where you will beat him. In this situation a holding of 4 6 or 6 10 can turn out to be very profitable. 2) I think in this situation, given your assumption that he is a weaker/inexperienced player, you can ...
