Funniest thing you've heard during a ballgame At a Sens/Leafs game a while back, there were these 2 guys (friends, and fans of opposing teams) completely piss drunk wearing hockey helmets in the crowd. Dany Heatley was playing for the Sens, and every time he touched the puck, the Leafs fan would get up and scream "YOU SHOULDNT BE PLAYING HOCKEY, YOURE A MURDERER!!". Another 1/2 NL spot WWYD On the button with 97hh, I have just over $200. Guy to my right who has been the most spewtastic player of all time raises to $20, I call (stuck and card dead) and SB BB and early position limper all call. So a guy just claimed he was gonna commit suicide in the chatbox... Was playing 6 handed hyper FPP tourneys because im BUSTO, and a guy says "Im gonna kill myself after this tournament, good luck". At first I was like yeah right so I start commenting to find out more. He claims his wife died of cancer last year, his daughter was hit by a car 2 months ago, his son was taken away because he couldnt cope, and his life savings have been lost in poker. At that point I tried helping the cause (wtf can I do, but I tried). He sounded pretty serious because he made that comment on more than one table. 1/2 NL Live, WWYD? Very first hand sitting down at a 1/2 game at my local casino. I post in late position and buy in with a $200 stack. I get dealt J3cc and check my option, we have about 6 to the flop. KxJ3hh. SB old man bets out $19, young guy calls, middle aged Asian man raises to $140. 1/2 NL Live, input on a few hands Forgot about another hand. Hand #3: In the bb with A9hh, ep raiser opens to $10, 5 callers and I call. Flop comes J94hh, I check, guy with a 900 stack bets 25, I have about 550 in front of me. A bunch of folders, I smooth call OOP and everyone else folds. Turn comes the 2h. 1/2 NL Live, input on a few hands I am starting to hit the casino more to take some money from the live fish, and have been doing well over a moderate sample size. 0.25/0.50 - TP+FD 250BB deep and I get repopped Im not a cash game guru, but this seems like the exact flop youre looking for when calling with QJdd. Tough spot being so deep, but id put in another raise with the intentions of calling a shove. Maybe its because I have some gamble when I flop a big hand like this. LOL at some of my Toronto friends (and other Toronto sports fans) I live in Vancouver, originally from Toronto and am a die hard Leafs fan. Like I bleed blue to the max, i fuckin love the leafs (tough I know). Nothing makes me angrier than people jumping on the Nucks bandwagon in this city, and it is the WORST in the NHL hands down. The bad beats are so insignificant...... I was just playing a session on Pokerstars, running pretty horribly and getting distressed emotionally, as we all do when we receive a string of bad beats in whatever format of poker you play. As I was playing, I received news that a young Vancouver girl I knew lost her life tragically due to some personal issues. It really puts everything into perspective, as tragic events usually do. All the bad beats and hard times we receive in poker or personally really are so insignificant in the grand scheme of life. Normal Tips - Biggest Tips youve given at cash game in casino TBH I rarely tip at casinos. Dealers pool their tips in Vancouver which is a pile of shit and gives no incentive for the dealers to do a good job. So pretty much if Dave the good dealer deals me a miracle river and I win a massive pot, any tip I give him is actually only .000001% in his pocket. The rest is divided up by the dealers who dont speak english and misdeal every other hand. When Im in Vegas Im more inclined to tip because the dealers actually work hard so they can get decent tips. Unfortunately the only exposure online poker gets seems to be negative these days; scandals, cheaters, liars, backing gone wrong, hackers etc. This will happen as long as the world exists, and dont get me wrong, justice needs to be carried out, but debating speculation without having the complete set of facts is pointless and a waste of time.
