Are the Hands/Hour Stats on PokerStars accurate? In the lobby all the way to the right there is a statistic labeled H/hr that tells you the amount of hands dealt per hour at any given table. None of these seems to be accurate for limit holdem (haven't looked at NLH or mixed games yet but I am curious as to the accuracy of those too). For example, I was experimenting with adding more screens, so I played a session of 16screens of .05/.10 6-max LH (fast tables) for 117 minutes. Most of the tables I was playing claimed to be dealing out anywhere from 80-120+ hands/hour; however, when I went back to take a closer look at my PT3 stats, it seems ... Can we bring back "nh" and "ty"? Disagree. When you do this you are pointing out their mistakes, something that is just utterly stupid to do if you like money. Also, these fishies will now want to play as best they can against you. Gotta tell them nh, wp, and be cordial when they do something stupid....then they don't realize how bad their play is and will continue to make terrible mistakes. C'mon now. PPA letter to members on the Reid bill, the blackout, and 2011 Have to agree here. Like you said, as a player I'm not for the freeze, but it will go a long way insofar as it will appeal to the congressmen and senators who will vote to pass such a bill. IMO, #2 on the list up top, from the players' perspective, is the most important factor in these proposed legislations. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

sunday warm up call or fold Ok so this is probably wrong' I'm guessing if you double from 12,500 to 25,000 here you're increasing your $ev in the tourney by 50percent or more' Ok well in that case the call was fine. GL in the next one! Posted in: Poker Discussion |

sunday warm up call or fold No what' If you think you can accurately give him a range of QQ+, AK....then wouldn't this be a fold' We'd have only 38% equity in the pot getting odds of just under 1.3 to 1. Meaning we need at least 43% equity to make the call +ev. Obv, if you can't accurately give him this tight of a range then you have to call. Also, if people knew you were folding in this spot they would pick on you like crazy. Still if you can accurately give him that range then I think it's a fold. I guess accurately ranging him so tight is impossible so you have to call' Anyway... Text results appended to ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

sunday warm up call or fold If you don't think he'd ever do it w AQ or worse, then you should fold. No need to hope for a flip for 65 bigs at point in the tourney 100/200 blinds. Plus if you double here, you aren't really increasing your equity in the tournament by all that much. Sigh fold imo Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Seeking software... I was wondering if anyone knows of a software program out there that allows you to automatically top off your stack in cash games. I'm planning a move into limit holdem on stars, and I would like it if I didn't have to top off my stacks manually, as I plan on 20-screening and that would be a real burden. Afaik, tableninja does not have this feature, and there is no option I have found on stars to auto-do it for me. Am I stuck manually topping off my stack, or is there something out there that can do this' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

do you have to manually register for SNG when playing continously? I think there is a way to set it up to auto-reg you for specific sngs on stars, but check out . Extremely helpful. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

recognize your emotions Great post man. You are definitely taking the first steps to real personal change, which is great. I understand exactly how you're feeling...used to be just like that with my temperament. Grew up as one of those kids who would freak out and throw fits anytime I would lose at something. As I got older, I realized I couldn't control my anger in certain situations, and often just felt lost when I tried to sit down and really think about why I was feeling and acting as I was. I also realized I needed some guidance. I read a book that has helped me tremendously in many facets of life. Some of it ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

question about naked aces in omaha Whoops, nevermind, just realized you were the opener. I still say either raise or fold. You can flat if you have a good idea of 3bettor's range, but you may end up folding the best hand post a lot, and may also be getting it in vs. 2pair on what seems like a dry flop. I think potting it back is best given your image is loose. If you think 3bettor will do this w naked KK or QQ then you have to ship it in. GL Also, btw, I'm not the most experience omaha tournament player, but I've played my fair share. Got 2nd in one after getting ridiculously effed hu. Anyway, I know my advice may not be ... Question about playing on same account at 2 locations As long as you are certain your friend's IP address is clean. I did this before at a friend of a friend's house about a year and a half ago (mind you having no idea something like this could even happen to me), only to later find out that my buddy's "friend" owed them $1,000 in bad echecks. My account has been frozen since, and this kid has ZERO intention of paying it back. After a TON of unsuccessful, barely-responded-to, emails to support...I finally came to the conclusion that if I ever want my FTP acct back, I basically have to pay off his $1,000 debt. Don't get fucked like I did. Make ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

cEV Calculation - Am I doing this right? Still not sure where that extra 800 is coming from. The opener raises to 2,000 bringing the pot to 4,100 total. I then shove in 20,800, which is another 18,800 for opener to call. When he calls, I stand to gain 18,800 + 4,100 = 22,900. There were no limpers, and the villain started in the cut-off. What am I missing, where is that extra 800 chips coming from' EDIT: OK, the light just went on. The villain also has to call the 800 bb I have out there bc it was a part of my stack b4 the hand started. So it is actually 19,600 for villain to call when it gets back to him, got it. Thanks again!
