Re:Optimal line - shove flop w nuts or slow play? Just look at it this way, you got what you wanted. If you let another card peel, is that going to keep you from getting your money in on the turn anyways' If a K spiked on the turn, would you muck your boat' Either way works-- as long as you get the $$ in the middle, which you did. Finding time to play... I know as a part time poker player we simply can't log the hours of a grinder, pro, or other full time player. Trying to balance school and two jobs is hard enough, then you gotta throw in the social life. The answer to when can I fit poker in would be easy in this case: whenever I can. My question to everyone is how do they balance their lives and stay at the top of the leaderboard' What do you do that frees you up for the majors on Sunday' During the week' Any and all feedback can help a great discussion. Re:turbos vs non turbos This isn't uncommon, but its still early for you. Turbos reach push/fold strategy much quicker than the regs, so although you would probably be ITM more with the regs, you can grind these at a much faster rate utilizing push/fold. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Is this standard from the button? 4.40 / 180 He went to a few showdowns pretty light. Obv raise from my position, but what I really need advice on is that is there ANY way I can get away from this' Given that he WSD pretty light, I was certain TPTK was good in this spot. Also, what range do you put on semi-loose flatters from the button' I was a little suspicious because any thinking player would repop here with AA, and disguise his hand-- as the button is a great spot to resteal from. Guess I gotta fire another one up! Thanks for any/all advice guys. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Advice for card dead players Just on a bad run I guess. Haven't seen a pp JJ+ in 20 games at least. Any advice on what to do' I keep finding myself short on the bubble bc I simply have zero hands to play. When I get a raiseable hand in LP, a big stack opens for like 4-5 bb and I miss my chance to steal with my AJo. I've been trying to mix up my play w/ suited connectors early and seeing cheap flops, but I just haven't been hitting. I want to avoid having to force trying to make plays with bad hands and donking off my stack. I appreciate any input. Thx. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Good MTT Statistics I am a beginner to MTTs. I've been pretty much dominating low stake SNGs lately and I wanna take a step towards MTTs. Any advice' What are the percentages of ITM/FT/WIN for beginner MTTers and what are the same percentages for solid MTTers' I just wanna know how to judge my MTT play. I have cashed in a few tourneys, as you can see in my profile, but I am more interested in how many am I supposed to be cashing/ft/winning in' What tourneys should I be trying' My BR hovers around $1k, give or take $150 (obv brag lol, not). Thx for any input. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Correct to raise flop? - $20NL You may be correct on his hand range, but I don't see how anyone would let go of 99-TT in this spot. If the board wasn't so draw heavy like j 3 6 rainbow, then I'd slow roll the nuts. I put him on something like AX or low pp. Still, good play. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Correct to raise flop? - $20NL In this case you made the correct play. Since you have been picking up his blinds the villain was probably making an ego repop with a marginal hand at best. Do not let the villain see another card with his A9o and let him hit his gutshot. Nice hand. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
