OT lawyers pls... apparently I stole a gun from a judge
Just a thought but, why not do a little research into your states gun laws just in case you need leverage in this situation. For instance, failure to properly secure a firearm may slow down the witch hunt. Gl either way.

Three card poker
A co-worker just asked me this question and I figured I would bring it to the math experts............In three card poker are your odds better, of hitting to make money, if your at table with just yourself and the dealer or when there are numerous people.

I've been a cop for 13 years now and don't bring my gun home EVER ! Never have. I have seen too many people who were "gonna defend themselves" get assaulted with their own guns. Then, the gun which was meant to keep people safe is on the street. Or, which happens the vast majority of the time, some crack head breaks into your house when your not home and steals your gun knowing he can sell it to a drug dealer on the spot. Now your gun is used to kill an innocent person or two. Both of these examples have happened numerous times. Then theres always the idiot older neighbor ...

what most people don't take into account is that politicians and the govt in general are money oriented. A politician won't be re-elected if he/she raised taxes but by legalizing poker the revenue will make up for the crappy economy. In the end the decision will be based purely on the amount of money which can be generated from taxing online poker. That is why we are already seeing politicians jump on the band wagon. Not a lawyer, just a police officer from Connecticut. I would talk to another lawyer and hopefully you kept the letter from DMV. If not go to your DMV headquarters and request your case. Our DMV will provide all you history for a fee. The history should show the date from which your operators license was suspended from. There are lawyers who specialize in DUI's and will walk through your next court date without any problems. As for the money, I would contact the lawyer and explain that you would like at least some of your money refunded because he withdrew. Good Luck, lawyers are an odd ...

Although I obviously want a bill passed which would allow us to continue playing, I am afraid that living in Connecticut, the two Indian casinos will stop it. It all comes down to who has the most influence, meaning money. With Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun in my state I am very leary.

TOUGH LOVE tell him the truth, that in the past he has been a mess and your not going to put up with any of his crap. Let him know your rules and make sure he knows you will throw his ass out on the street if he disrespects you or your property in the least bit. If he screws up stand by your word. It may be the best thing the guy has ever had, someone who will put their foot down and give him a taste of reality.

Kinda sends red flags when in the post you state " have not been in the military or police force ". I would think that any company providing protection would be seeking people who are trained already or at least have a background in handeling weapons. With all the veterans returning from Iraq and Afganistan it would be great to help them out with a possible job offer. Any thing that sounds too good to be true generally is.
