FTP $1k "Monday Million"
entered the main 6x and the 1k 4x.....cashed in 3/10, lost about $4k total. These are fun and I like playing them selfishly, but its so obvious they are terrible for poker in the long run. Cut out these fcking gimmicks FTP.

Reflecting on 2010: How Did You Do?
very solid year. hopped off the tourney train and focused solely on cash games, quickly learning i was capable of mass tabling 6max plo. I just capped it off by getting supernova elite on Stars so I am looking forward to enjoying some of those benefits in 2011 (no blackout one time).

If only Stars and FTP could somehow just send the IRS 20% of the rake they generate from US players each year and things could go on as they are.

Do most pros hate poker and the lifestyle around it?
I feel pretty blessed to have had the timely entry into poker that a lot of us on this forum did. Most of us were in hs or college when the moneymaker boom happened and we have been fortunate to have enough free time to really learn and experiment. It is obviously frustrating as hell from time to time when you play this game a lot, but the extra monetary freedom that I have gotten at such a young age is something that doesnt fly over my head. Balance is key my friends, and if someone who is ranked/appears to crush appears to be negative all the time, then balance is probably the thing they ...

What VIP level are you on Pokerstars?
you need 1M to get SNE. I wasnt planning on going for it at all, but Ive just been grinding like 10-18 plo tables this yea and putting in volume. I have 600k FPPs this year so I think im jusssst on pace to get it, but I dont think I will end up making the push for it. I play 2/4-10/20.

Yea mine dont take that long. I believe they send you an additional email when the check is actually mailed but I am not sure. I would email support and check on the status.........Stars support is really good about getting back to you quickly and with results.

dispute between me and bakes
Just a crummy situation between 2 well respected guys who will and should remain respected in the poker community. I believe that if Mattg tried to ship Bakes 5k after the tournament (had bakes not cashed) that Bakes would have sent it back, saying "you dont owe me this. I sold that 10 percent to someone else because I thought you didnt want it anymore." The communication is obviously horrendous here but I think it is clear cut that bakes does NOT owe mattg anything and the situation should be dropped.

Poker Movies Suck
Rounders was fucking epic. Obviously nobody wants to watch a poker movie that dives deeply into how to actually play the game. I bet there will be another one out in the near future that tries to emulate rounders greatness.

I think b/f turn is probably best, or even possibly click back the turn. It obv seems so damn weak to b/f but people just arent getting cute by cr turns here with hands you beat, considering how deep you are, the buyin, etc.......also amusing to see FrankTheShank stealing another thread with his arrogance and attention needing.

Ive played a few of the H events with the plan of calling in sick the next day if I'm still alive or if it is a 2day that I made day 2. Luckily this has not been a concern yet. But yea, the High event structures are way to slow. I think they should be the same as the Medium structures, but obviously it is too late to change this. Maybe for next years SCOOP.
