Its only more expensive for tax payers when we have to pay the DA's during the appeal process. The needle is relatively cheap. -And Stump the Schwab is a great man of genius. Last time i checked The Big Game wasnt televised, but from everything i read JH does pretty well. I also love the replies from the people who really said nothing. Theres no doubt she accomplished something great here, but I love how this relative unknown is magically the greatest women's player on the planet. The hand basically played itself out in typical HUGE stack PLO. A guy raises early and VS flexes some muscle and rerasies. At that point TP had 2 options. The aggressive reraise completely identifies his hand,but should fold most competent players. Or he could have just flat called because it seems like she isnt the type that is going anywhere to a reraise. Then he still has more chips behind him and gives himself a chance to see a flop. IMO in Omaha, you need to see flops and commit your chips there in after. Most ppl know that AAxx is a not so dominate favorite against 4 randoms. So if she ...

how beat are you getting' are you committing too many chips post flop with AK, AQ or similar hands' If you are, esp early in the tournament youll get burned. I dont know if i play hands quite that bad, but early on esp in small buyins, ill play 56, 78, out of position and call a raise because i can reasonably assume the raiser has face cards such as AK, AQ. if the flop comes 5 8 2 then i made out well. the original raiser is going to make a continuation bet, then you can check raise, call and see what the turn brings. If he doesnt pair his hand on the turn he will most likely check ...

While the online poker laws are ambiguous, the wrongful termination laws are pretty clear. This story is completely insane IMO. Noob sports gambler, How do I read the choices....
Simple question how do i read/interpret the Odds when one choice is -200 and the other is like +125 or whatever would be relevant figures. Any help would be great. Thanks

...bound to win a few' Gus Hansen, JC tran, Nam Le, Chad Brown...they have all played a combined about 100 or so more WSOP tournies than i have and have the same number of bracelets as I do. They are 4 of the best players in the world. Its not about showing up and presto you win. So if you are so great, invest the time and money into buying into all the tournies, win a "handful" of bracelets, make the money back then some, get a sponorship deal and never have to post again.

I dont know what Ace on the River is going to do for a beginner...Grandpa needs to learn position, starting hands, aggression, player reading, betting patterns and over ABC fundamentals. Reading about how Barry dominated home games and the importance of a "special friend" while on the road will not help pops. Even the hand analogies are over his head at this point.

I bet durr is having plenty of fun when he is winning 100k-1,000,000 a night. It is pretty amazing to watch that 200-400 game. Great players who are not afraid to throw A TON of money around. Steve Sung is fun to watch too. You know some high 5 to 6 figure pots are comming.

I agree that the phil gordon series is a good read for complete beginners. He should stay away from Super System until he is a little more advanced. I would tend to feel the same about Harrington, but that would be the next step. If its just play money, let him donk it out for a while find his own way. Then you guys can talk hands (bonding) and that would most likely be beneficial to him, stimulate his interest, and reinforce BASIC fundamentals. Another fun game to keep him sharp is chess or any other yahoo/windows games.

Rolf Slotboom's book was really good, the chapter in super system 2 was pretty good too. Stay away from Farha until you play a bit or you are gonna get confused. His writer writes it like what you should do and then what Sammy would do. "with Q-J-10-9 you should limp, but i would raise, but you should limp unless you are me. Love Sammy, love the game.

Yea i have never deposited onto FTP, but this series might end up making it happen. I do wish the tournies were later in the day, esp the PLO ones. You gotta think the majority of the midstakes guys are gonna have 9-5's. Great Idea though, it cant be perfect and suit everyone so they done good and will probably get my money, WP FTP
